Thanks for the idea never heard of Zeam I will give it a try. I think I am the only one who likes AndroidMate launcher. It is very simple does not use widgets but it can turn vertical and horizontal on both ends no more fC when you accidentally turn to the left. Seems a bit similar to Launcherpro. Thanks.
Zeam as a launcher alternative
I've tried Pandahome, LauncherPro and Zeam (downloaded from the market). I settled on Zeam since it seems to get back to a vertical orientation better (there's a setting under preferences/general for sensor rotation) and the wifionoff widget seems to work better than on LauncherPro. It may be all my imagination but thought I'd share since I've benefited so much from other people's work on the novel.

Are you saying that AndroidMate will work in CCW landscape orientation? That would be the power plug down.
So far, AndroidMate is the only launcher that I've seen work correctly in all 4 orientations. Oh well.
I gave AndroidMate a try, and it's growing on me. It's sort of Apple iOS, except you have folders on the side instead of flipping through sheets of icons.
