Hey all. My wife and I bought 2 Novel units yesterday and are pretty pleased so far as it is out of the box other than not being able to watch YouTube videos. My wife connected hers to her computer via the included USB cord and is unable to connect. Windows XP cannot find the proper driver and that is why I am here.Does someone know where the driver is for the Novel using XP SP3?At this moment, we are not ready to hack but just looking for the driver.I really did look for this in the forum and came up with nothing so if I overlooked it, I apologize for duplicating the question.

My first instinct is to use my tried and true "look at the other posts because I know I've answered this myself XXX times." However, this one calls for a more detailed explanation:There don't appear to be any Novel specific drivers - yet. The computer recognizes the novel only as one (without SDcard) or two (with an SDcard) flashdrives. At some point Pandigital clearly plans to add an interface, because they have a calendar that theoretically should synch, but to date they have not done so. What we are all doing on here is altering the "driver" so we can use the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) to push and pull things on and off of the device. That said, look harder. I know someone else just figured this same question out recently. Sayyyyy.... Here:http://www.slatedroid.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?2479-Vista-driver-problem/page2
Why not get the hack and just install the driver that is included in it? It is step one. You don't have to go any farther than that if you don't want to. Hack here: http://www.slatedroid.com/vbulletin...ginners-Guide-to-hacking-the-Pandigital-Novel
Don't do anything you're not comfortable with. If you hack and brick your junk, no one is going to volunteer to buy you a new one. It's all about how much risk you're willing to take....
