I'm using a little util called Apollo Task Killer to keep the memory as clear as possible. One app/task that shows in the list is called BootReceiver.I have googled this but cannot seem to find a plain english answer to "What is it"Is it required for the OS to run smooth? Is it safe to kill it?What do I lose by killing it?Thanks

An android system start up process that runs other "at boot" processes. By the time you can see it, you can safely kill it, as your device should have completed booting.
