Watching a video on Fox news and thought I'd try the headphones. Never used any on the PDN before. Pushed the endpiece into the socket and bingo..... lock up. Video froze then screen went multicoloured bands. Couldn't switch it off, reset it or diddly. No amount of sliding on off switch, resetting or volume buttons either together or alone would kill the beast.Off with the back...again.. and pulled the battery connection. It fired up OK and I tried the headphones again on same video and music player. No problem this time.

PDN's have a liberal bias, and just can't stomach Faux Noise.I noticed that the jack isn't hardwired like your stereo, but must have a software switch between speakers and earphone jack. There's a delay that wouldn't be there if there wasn't some software switching when you push/pull the plug.
