Looked at the fcc docs on the v2, and read the ram chip part numbers. There are 2 k4x51163pg chips which each are 64mb devices, for a total of 128mb.Given this, it seems like the v1 would also have 128mb.

Memory is reserved for various things like graphics, sound and communication with the ARM processor.If the v1 truly has 256mb, this is a huge reason to get a v1 device, before v2 comes out. In my experience, Android 2.0 and newer do not run well on 128mb.
