Ciao, Angelo. I dont know why you will need an external WiFi adapter. There is already one built-in.If your WiFi adapter dont' work good, try to flash another FormWare. Slatedroid firmware is very good.Prova, & fammi sapere.

I've been considering this issue for some time now. I've added an external antenna to my Flytouch. I get a little better wifi range now. I'm looking into replacing the the Ralink wifi card. The problem I'm having with swapping out the wifi card is installing a new driver. I'm very new to the world of Android and that process is beyond my skill level. I've also tried to back into a solution by trying to find other Ralink wifi cards that can use the same driver. The chip I believe is an rt2070, when I look for a driver for that chip, the file name references rt2870 or rt3070. I've found a couple on Amazon with very cheap prices $10 to $30. If I find something that works well, I'll report back.

Yes its possible to use an usb wireless adapter. I have to use one while I play with WinCE on mine. As for Android, I'm going to have to try that out tonight since I need to do some work on mine anyway.

not yet, simply because the connector for the usb dongal broke so I'm trying to repair it......ooops. I was trying to get some internal phones and well it happens. I'll let you know once I fix it.

I've just completed that mod. You have to use a usb dongle that has a Ralink chipset supported by the existing wifi driver. I replaced my RT2070 with a RT3070. It included an external antenna. Range is a little better.Sent from my generic using Tapatalk

For more detail on the drivers and chipsets, see Imprezza86 post about hardware. I got mine from amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...s&ie=UTF8&qid=1283509893&sr=1-3&condition=new.
