a regulat item.

Their e-mail ad also showed a special for the Thrive.

Folks Interested in the Thrive:

Toshiba sent e-mails out to folks who had previously registered today
announcing that Pre-Orders are being taken.

For complete related info, go to www.toshibadirect.com and when the
main page opens look for the "Tablets" tab.

It gives a bunch of information and refers to Amazon, Best Buy, Office
Depot, Buy.Com and NewEgg. A check of most of those sites revealed
a search or lookup for the Toshiba Thrive indeed gives you info and
options to order.

Yes, it does sound good and the more I see on the net and the more
I read the more I am impressed. Toshiba seems -- IMHO -- to be working
so much harder than most of the other companies to get the tablet out,
provide the features we want and provide support.

After all we've gone to with other tablets to find info, can you imagine
that the Thrive is not out yet and already they have a support tab on
their web page that provides a template for downloads, detailed specs,
manuals and a lot more. We haven't gotten that much info in months with
some of the other tablets. Also, there is a support website mentioned
in the manual at http://tabletsupport.toshiba.com -- but it's not live
yet.

After a lot of frustration with Android/tablet stuff, it's nice to have
something to be positive and excited about!
