Ran the updater software a few minutes ago - after resetting the Novel to apply the update, I got this screen that I attached...has something gone wrong?

bad unpack. try reflashing or redoing the updater.btw, did you update with the hacks in place? just checking...

Ran it with the volume hack and the Google Experience on it. Redid the updater and it still did the same thing.I turn off the device, then hold the vol up button while turning on/holding the power switch. Still get the same screen.

Where is your zip file located? I've had issues with the recovery sometimes not seeing the external SD card. Possible solutions in order of how much of a pain it is:1) This is somewhat hard to do, but try holding both the power switch and volume up, and hit the reset button. Keep holding both until the recovery screen comes up and hopefully it will start flashing.2) Pull the back off and remove the internal SD card, try again to flash off the external card using (1) above.3) Put the firmware on the internal SD card, put it back in, and flash again.You don't have to do all 3, just whichever one gets it to work.

Zip was on the internal card. I completed your step 1 and it flashed it, so everything is back to normal (or so Pandigital wants it to be.....)

PDN says the Flash needs to be on the external card. Remember, they don't really want us playing with the internal card. That's why it's taped on. Oops...
