I never tried and probably nobody will. The main ubuntu taste (with gnome) requires a much better cpu than m003 has, despite the fact that there's no official ARM build.As ubuntu is based on Debian, is a much better idea run it instead of a derivated distro, also Debian is highly configurable and have a official ARM port.

Didn't know about that. I took a look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/RootfsFromScratch and it seems that you need Ubuntu in order to to build the rootfsUnfortunately I can't help since I'm a fedoran =/
