Hi I followed these steps from clockworxTo enable Nook:adb remountadb shell mv /system/lib/libpdfhost.so /system/lib/libpdfhost.so.pdnNow I have lost my SD cards it says they are not mounted, I have searched the threads but cannot find any answers, there were a couple and I have tried the suggestions but they do not work. Thanks for any ideas.just to say it is not clockworx fault, these things happen I know, now to try and get back. Thanks.

It is not clockworkx fault
it's Pandigital's. They changed something in 8/6 firmware and the hack for Nook is not working anymore. If you revert to the original libpdfhost.so (follow the directions from clockworx) you will get your SD card back. I reverted back to 7/24 firmware to keep using the Nook apk. And BTW didn't see a lot of improvement between 8/6 and 7/24, actually 7/24 works better for me with the 8/6 I was getting a lot of Note! FCs.

This would reverse what you just did:adb remountadb shell mv /system/lib/libpdfhost.so.pdn /system/lib/libpdfhost.soYou could reset your cache afterwards as well:adb shell rm -r /data/dalvik*And then reboot:adb shell rebootUnplug the USB cable from your computer right after issuing the reboot command so that you don't get an error when the Novel boots back up.

Thank you so much for this was stuck for awhile got something to eat and came back with this!!!!! Thanks!!!! I seem to thank many people here, having fun though!!!!!!! Me and PDN (must name it) thank you!!!!
Hmm.....sorry I wasn't around for this. I'm not sure why killing libpdfhost would kill the SD card(?)

No sorries needed I have read and gotten help from you in the past and Im sure in the future, I dont quite understand it but its up and running and all is happy! Thanks for everything!
Is there any merit in getting Nook (B&N store, I presume) to work? Obviously, when you reversed the hack, it's back into its nonworking stupor. This little toy is full of moronic riddles. E.g., Stock Calendar doesn't work at all, right? Wrong. It's just busy reporting on you to The GOOG as the user of unauthorized Android device. I learned the hard way: deleted it first, installed Jorte, and here we go: Calendar launcher is back from the dead! Again, the corresponding service pops up literally every second. Talk about persistence, heh. Kill the beast more thoroughly, and you'll be cast out of The Market. Now, this is just a nuisance. Much more dangerous is the PDN's (mod 8-06, and all previous versions) habit to get out of boot with "Damaged SD card". Card is perfect, formatted inside the silly toy, and comes back with couple of resettings. Flashing the new FW with such a trait is a sheer torture: I disconnected my battery like 4 times, to restart the flashing process. That's why I beg our Gurus to present to us unwashed masses a PC flashing utility for the next ROM we oh so hope will get out the Padlock crap, solve orientation problems, bring back haptic sounds for the keyboard (both Panda and PDN, plus Home now have lost them mysteriously, Alarm is silent, no system-wide screen orientation lock toggle button, some more rants)All in all, Google Experience is not about *your* experience of Google, it's Google experiences you. Like Orwellian TV that watches you, not the other way around. By the way, theres nothing interesting to watch at the Market (to those w/out GE), it's one big unstructured dump.

so does Jorte work well or not.. I can't really tell from your note??
So - it's an Official Known Thing that the Nook software kills the SD card? I would really love to have the Nook sw going and I'm digging 8/6. Is anyone working on a workaround?
I tried removing PDSync at clockworx's suggestion, but that had no effect. But just know you are not alone =)No solution yet that I have seen.
