It might be the case that the touch screen is broken. A number of batch 2 aPad were shipped from other sellers that had faulty screens. It might be, maybe, in some cases, fixable by opening the device and plugging the touch screen in again properly. This would void any warranty you have though.Talk with the seller some more.

thank you, i have been emailing the seller, and he now wants me to flash it, but i do not want to do so as it may cause more problems. i considered trying to open it up and reconnect, but at this point i dont want to void warranty and i just want my money back. if the seller decides to be uncooperative with the 30 money back guaranty, then i will probably try pulling it apart, since all hope will be lost, and it will be broken anyways.

I got my aPad yesterday and my touchscreen also doesn't work. It's on rogersbraun custom ROM, but House of DAP flashed it, not me. I've tried to recallibrate but still it doesn't work. I've contacted HOD for an exchange since I couldn't find any fixes while searching on Slatedroid.

The latest units have addressed this problem.

Had similar problems in the begining. I thought it was with the firmwares I loaded but noticed at some point that it was bad connection (I just nedded to twist the USB connector or twist the MicroSD gently to make the touch screen work). Using the USB connector for the upgrade kind of initiated the problem.Opened the unit but the touch screen connector seemed fine. Closed and opened the unit several times until twisting the USB no longer helped. Then removed also the main board together with the small board that has all the connectors (there is a flat cable between them, connectors under the boards). The flat cable connector locking machanism on the connector board was not properly closed. Opened it and closed, put all back together and have not had problems since.Mine is blue LED apad with 9V charger. Wireless still sucks though. THE THING GUY WRITING LOUD SUGGESTED FOR CHANGING THE COMPATIBILITY IN YOUR AP TO G-ONLY HELPD SOME BUT IT STILL SUCKS.

I ran into this problemas well just a few days ago and it was casued by another loose ribbon cable. When I first received this unit a few weeks ago, the screen wouldn't come on and I took a chance and opened it up and reconnected the cable and all was good. THis last time, I suspected a similar issue so I opened up my unit again and along with securing the batteries better, I reconnected the small ribbon cable located near the round button and the touchscreen is working again. While in there I also re-tapped some of the other connections, as there were held together with masking tape.
