There may be a better way/app for this that I'm not aware of, but ES File Explorer works like a charm for browsing/pic viewing/transferring files from my laptop HD to my tablet in my local network. Highly recommended.

I agree with you, I like estrongs File Explorer too. I couldn't find it on the Market for awhile, not sure what happened but when I updated to 1014 it was back. I can use it to stream music from my HTPC, which is an added feature to the ones you mention.
Estrongs allows playback of HD mkv files (h.264) over network as well if you hold on the mkv and do play as video, it works well..In answer to 2 posts before, I can keep an archived copy of the working version, but would this be allowed with paid apps? I would say not?

I think somebody mentioned before that you might only be posting the links to where the software would be downloaded and not the actual APKs. But even without paid apps, an archive of the free apps and non-market apps would be helpful to everyone. And thanks for the tip about playing video, I am going to have to try that. What media player to you use as default for that to play?Whenever I just clicked on a video in the past I would get an 'invalid format' error.

ES File Explorer is the best file manager for android. It can connect to Local computers and FTP.Don't know why via VPN connection didn't find the computer.I only miss the support to play video files with other player. ES internal video player can't play my mp4 and avi files :s

That way ZT-180 owners could know what the best PDF viewer app to use is or what the best filemanager app is .... or at least the top 3 apps.Just an idea.-jj
There is a forum on the page for such things, as well as being able to add comments for each of the application posts, I will see about adding a ratings system...Thanks for the thanks :)Been working hard on adding the links for everybody...Sent from my p7901a using Tapatalk

As requested, added a rating system for for the applications, if you want to help (no one seems to) rate the apps once you have downloaded them so people can see what's best.KarlossSent from my ZT-180 using Tapatalk

The ZT-180 Wiki started out as a thread I posted to remind me of how I did stuff but popularity caught on and pretty soon I was busy updating it and then it progressed into the wiki. Now I don't have so much time so I am glad people are contributing on their own.
Mine is mainly for the apps/games, but don't have any real issues on spreading, if your not planning on doing much to your site anymore, shall add a wiki to my site and copy all the informtion over? That way we will have one place for everything, (hopefully updated often
)What u think?KarlossSent from my ZT-180 using Tapatalk

Thanks for the offer but it's probably better to keep it here at Slatedroid for the mean time. I will be keeping it updated but not apps so much, just firmware versions and other tips and tricks.
no problem, good idea to keep them separate..long enough just doing the apps
