THD Game runs fine on Cube U30GT without Chainfire 3D!

I recently bought a Nexus 7 and used some of the free Play Store credit to purchase the THD version of Demolition Inc.
I was then thinking that it's a shame I cannot use this on my other tablet (Cube U30GT) without buying the non-THD version.

Strangely though the THD version did show up on Play Store for the Cube so I thought I would try it and see what happens.
To my surprise it works perfectly on the Cube

Whether Play Store is doing something clever behind the scenes i.e. noticing that the Cube is not a Tegra device and automatically loading the non-Tegra version is hard to say. Then again the non-Tegra version should require an extra purchase according to Play Store.

Anyway I thought I would share this in case anyone else can benefit from this. Now I'm off to see which other THD games work out-of-the-box on the Cube.
Galaxy on Fire 2 would be nice...
