Hi Lambstone im wanting to remove the chinese software from the u39gt. Can i download the cwm straight onto the original tablet
or what do i need to do. Im happy to donate

Hi. You can either flash this rom via RKBatchTool or use CWM to flash the rom.

I've included a comparison of RKBatchTool vs CWM in the main post. Personally I feel that CWM is heaps better and way more convenient, not to mention safer.

Yes RKBatchTool is safe when used correctly but CWM is the safest. To use an analogy, RKBatchTool is like using a condom whereas CWM is like getting a vasectomy.

Can you make another ROM with 1.06 from Cube for U39GT and the newest ROM for iFiveX2 4.4.2 (KitKat) or 4.2.2.

when i try to use this rom using rockchip batch tool it just stays pink, i never get a green box? any thoughts

You have to clic the "switch" button; the tablet restart in adb mode and voila!

Thank you for the ROM.

I have yet to decide whether to just root my device or to also install a ROM. What andvantages are there for installing a custom ROM? I've read about people having issues with, among other things, things the disappearence of the 1920x1280 resolution option.

Also, which method would you suggest for rooting? So far I've found: framaroot, tp-sarky, super one click, and the two proposed in this topic.

Hi,

This rom is great, thanks for your hard work.

I do have one problem though and wanted to check if it is just me but after installing this rom, the rear camera is not detected. Tried a few camera apps to check its not the stock app, but no luck.

Can anybody help?

At the Archtablet forums Cube U39GT thread there was one user received mail that official Kitkat release should be available soon.
Let's hope it's true.
