Wow, pretty interesting looking machine. Display looks great but I guess the ultra hi res display would hit game performance.
Surprised there isn't more interest in this.

Looking forward to the review. Could you possibly show how it handles pdf magazines e.g. T3, Stuff etc?

Cheers
Jez

Ordered one to test myself due Tuesday, looks good except for camera, Ips screen and resolution look outstanding, speaking to supplier in china and she brought this tablet up, never heard of it before, almost nothing about on net so looking forward to your review.

Also arriving at same time Cube with 9.7 ips, already have onda vi40 elite so should be good for side by side comparison of new models with ips screen and A10 vs rockchip
Mr Tasselhoff

Would love to see one of your usual detailed reviews. I was about to order a VI40 when I saw this coming up.

Gaming wouldn't be a huge thing for me so the higher resolution on this one appeals; but gaming would be an essential thing for my kids so I'd be interested to see how the higher resolution slows up gameplay in 3D racers/shooters and hearing how it compares to the VI40 Mali400 solution (which some reviews claim has problems of its own with this type of game, even at the lower 1024 x 768 resolution).

Thanks for your work - you've already saved me buying at least one "turkey" Hoping you can help me remain a "Tech-God" (in the eyes of my kids anyway).

Baldrick45

PS - Any other names / upcoming tablet releases you have heard of ? I could hold off my purchasing until after Easter if there was something worth waiting for - other than an ipad3 of course!

Cheers - and thanks again

This one and the Window N70 are the latest I am aware of, but you have seen how this market works... always something new in the pipeline.

Looks pretty promising!

I like the specs and the fact that it will have an IPS display.
That would kinda make it an Novo 9 Aurora. Hehe.

There's not much to be found on this tablet though, I wonder what's up with that.

I don't like the physical buttons on the Onda vi40.
This looks more like the new UPPO PO8003, Ramos W13HD and Embel EB9702 I saw on Android Tablet Comparison World.

Would love to see a review on this.

Also keen to find out how it holds up against the ICOO D90W, Window N90, Bmorn V99 and OEM U9GT 2.

I have a tracking number now and I think it will arrive on Monday...
Will let everyone know my initial thoughts after it arrives... and then work on the review.

I think this device has the possibility of being BIG and Very Popular.

Mr. T , thanks for the precious info that you share with us !
I was about to order a tablet for my wife. It has to be hassle-free so I'm thinking that one with android 2.3 is an obvious choice. after some "research"
the teclast A10 caught my attention. Now I'm thinking to wait a bit more as the A15 looks very promising. Do you think that the A15 is going to replace the A10 ? Do you know any other 9.7'' tablets with android 2.3 to have a look at them ?

Thanks in advance.

it is true that ICS still needs a lot of work, but overally it is my preference on Android.
I am not too familiar on the 10" side of tablets.

It is hard to say, but probably not since the A10 is technically a different size (larger) tablet.

I am really interested to see the resolution and how it affects the screen.

Tasselhof
Well, to bad that it doesn't have HDMI, don't you think? I guess there is always some small detail that is missing on every tablet...
Hum, gd point. Had not noticed that.
Altough I have to admit, the Archos 101IT which I want to have replaced, was never ever connected to an external screen.
But it would've been better to atleast have had the option to do so, would you've liked to.

Oh well, the rest looks pretty okies. Here some more details and especially a bit larger format pics (those seem kinda hard to find of the A15).
I like the fact that these Chinese tablets are losing hardwarebuttons on the bezel. Also the quality over the last few months has increased significantly, as did the looks.
Great times to be getting oneself a tablet.

These 9.7 inch ips tablets seem to be coming out of the woodwork now. While looking those ones up I also found this one http://www.pandawill.com/ampe-a90-t...16gb-dual-camera-2160p-hdmi-black-p56329.html :

Works out at £137 delivered to the uk. Not bad at all.

Still the Teclast A15 bucks the trend having a 9" inch display. Will wait and see with baited breath Mr. T's review.
By the way, I found this rather fuzzy video of the A15, it's very poor quality though ...

hello MrTasselhof
looking forward for your review. i guess your reviews on novo7 aurora are the reason that made me to buy the tablet. however, i still have problems with the seller on DHgate. 18 days and yet i cant track the item
so i escalated the case to the resolution center. hope they will refund me !!
Can in ur upcoming reviews, to make a comparison between Teclast A15 and the novo7 aurora -specially web browsing- and is it worth it to pay 33% extra for this tablet over the aurora ? --the screen resolution is really promising :) --

I will try to include the Aurora briefly... but they are really in different classes/preferences merely based on size.
Also the Teclast is being shipped with Gingerbread, which already puts it's browser performance (particularly with flash) well ahead of any ICS tablet.
The Aurora browsing is much better currently on the gingerbread firmware.

looking forward for your review.
It has ARRIVED!

Gotta say first impressions are pretty good!
It is a managable nice size and the screen is great.
I can confirm that Skype video works both ways, although I have to recheck the outgoing microphone portion.
Voice Search worked fine though... so technically Skype microphone should be fine as well.
It has a power and volume toggle on the side.
It is running a different launcher that makes it feel a bit more like ICS and has a very nice interface.

I am also pleased to report that it comes shipped with Full Market and my root script works, so it can be easily rooted.
The device is very responsive.
It also played all of my 1080p videos great.

Overall it is a great device if you are looking for a larger screen.
The only real downfall I have at the moment is the lack of HDMI out, which isn't a necessity, but always nice to have.

1. Is it real IPS screen?
2. Do you prefer 8" or 9"?
3. Does it looks like high-end tablet or chinese tablet?

Thank you

Not sure on the real IPS... I will have to do further comparison with the Aurora.
The 9" Widescreen isn't bad... I would still prefer 8" 4:3 personally.
- the resolution is nice though
I would put it
% high end... 20% chinese.
- it is definately a FAR cry from the first and second generation chinese tablets.
It is a white plastic backing, but it does at least have the model etc.. on it.

White plastic always feels less "professional" to me is all.

Hello and thanks for the review - I'm very curious about this tablet...

About the IPS - I'm going to assume it's not an IPS screen. The official Teclast site (translated from Chinese) says right at the top that the A10 has an IPS screen...
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.teclast.com%2Fzhuanti%2Fa10%2F&hl=en&langpair=auto|en&tbb=1&ie=GB2312

...but it says nothing of the sort for the A15:
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.teclast.com%2Fzhuanti%2Fa15%2F&hl=en&langpair=auto|en&tbb=1&ie=GB2312

Perhaps you should update the forum description accordingly.

By the way, tt would be great if you could shoot the screen from various angles to show how this (non-IPS) screen behaves!
