I have an external USB GPS Dongle working on my MID WM8650 Tablet. It delivers NMEA data to APRSDroid or GPS Essentials or other gps programs.

Go to Github site and download AndroidGPS4Droid Alpha4.apk

You will need cp210x.ko or pl2303.ko drivers installed on your tablet, these are part of the Uberoid software when installed with Changer set to xtramods.

Plug your GPS Dongle into the Breakout Box.

In Tablet use terminal program; enter: su then stty -F /dev/ttyUSB0 ispeed 4800
You can download Gscript lite from Google Play and set the above string in a file such as "Set USB0 Speed".
then when you want to start GPS. Plug your GPS Dongle into the USB and click on the script file. It will only set the speed if the GPS is attached.

GScript.apk is on Google Play and will install the ispeed command with one click when you want to use your GPS device.

OR what ever your dongle data speed is. To see your data enter: cat /dev/ttyUSB0

CLOSE TERMINAL OR NMEA DATA WILL NOT BE LINKED BY MOCK LOCATION PROVIDER.

Launch AndroidGPS4Droid Alpha4.apk click on Location Provider and set the screen to the values shown in attachment.

That's it!

This was done on a rooted tablet. If you don't have one Google Universal Uberoid version 12 beta and download and install with the Uberoidtool included with the firmware files. Run Changer and set Xtramods before Flash.
