hello developers and mods, i have been thinking , since this device does not support many regional fonts , and i have seen many v1.6 devices to acquire it really easily , would there be an easy way to add , say Farsi/Arabic font support in this device? i am a N1 user , but i have never used android -2 before, so i am completely stranger to that, but in N1 , all they had to do was to fiddle with a library in browser and add a couple of fonts and that's it. so any developrs and cooks care to join this quest? i would be more than happy to test anything you guys potentially come up withcheers all

hello all , in my quest for a solution to viewing Farsi/Arabic on slatedroid , i came across a solution , but i am not sure how to implement it :i have been offered a zip file http://www.4shared.com/file/uKaYAWCc/update_PERSIAN.htmlwhich is supposed to enable HTC G1 (first ever android device , now on v1.6) reading and viewing Farsi material. anyway , the problem is , my operating computer is a macbook , and i am familiar with ADB commands ( rooted and modded my own nexus one a couple of times ) but this zip files i assume are for recovery mode in HTC devices , and to make matters worse , i was unable to make macbook recognize the eken m001 either as external storage device or anything. this might be overcome , but i should kindly ask you guys to download this , and see if there is any way to implement the changes in this zip update manually since as far as we know we do not have a recovery for this device (yet)cheers all
