I think one thing that would help organize the forum better and reduce the number of postings in inappropriate sections as well as reduce time to look up a subject is to really look carefully at your Basic Section titles and descriptions.Ask yourself:1.) Are sections topics mutually exclusive?2.) Are the section topics all-encompassing?3.) Are the sections consistent?4.) Are the section topic titles clear and specific? Example: Eken M001 Section:Subsection Getting Started:Tips and Tutorials for getting started with your SlateDroid.Subsection Device Discussion:Generalized discussion on the device.Subsection Hardware/Accessoriesiscuss compatible hardware and accessories. Don't forget your trusty iPod cable.Subsection Add-Ons:Compatibility of applications, widgets and games etc.Subsection Tear It Apart:Check here for the odd bit of moddage, rooting and development.Question 1 above, exclusivity: Okay, you're a new user, and you want to know whether you can connect a mouse to your Eken. Which topic do you visit? All of them might have that information. They are not necessarily mutually exclusive.Question 2 above, completeness: You're a newish but dangerous user and you've bricked it with an inappropriate rom upgrade, where do you go for the fastest solution, if there is one? Again, it could be in Device Discussion, or Tear it Apart, or even Getting Started. None of these actually clearly addresses troubleshooting or issues, which is what you really want.... and quickly. So you post it in Tear It Apart under the rom upgrade announcement you used to install the firmware. Wrong.. That is an inappropriate place. But you just don't know where else to go. The list of subjects is incomplete for what many users are looking for.Question 3 above, consistency: Device Discussion is pretty much what all the topics are about, it isn't really appropriate to anything in particular. Tear it Apart doesn't really fit ROM upgrading, seems more like a hardware disassembly section. Device Discussion is a subject, tear it apart is a command, an action, Hardware/Accessories would seem to include add-on accessories, but there is another Add-Ons section. etc. Also comparing the Moonse section with the Eken section, the subjects are divided up and named differently.Section 4 above, clarity and specificity: Device Discussion is "generalized discussion of the device." What should a user post here, or not post here? Hard to tell. Add-Ons seems like it should be devoted to hardware accessories, but it actually seems to mean additional software.Anyway, it's always best to put yourself in an imaginary new user's shoes and ask the 4 questions at the beginning of this post. It will help a lot. Suggestions? Well the below is probably unglamorous, and hardly catchy, it certainly could use improvement if desired, but generally, something like the following will make it a lot easier for folks to find what they want, and post where appropriate:Beginner Help: Setting up and using the Eken M001Hardware Accessories:The Useful and the prettyAdditional Software:Android Market, and other programsIssues and Troubleshooting (with sub headings for hardware and software)Modifications (again with sub headings for software, firmware and hardware)News and Announcements (for Eken tablets, optional if not enough info available)How I Use My Eken: (optional, but may be interesting)Other Ekens: (optional, for say M003, and newer models, etc. until they are popular enough to rate their own major heading)Again, this is just a suggestion, and can be changed, but I strongly suggest trying to make sure the 4 questions are asked not matter what the topics considered. Thanks for a great site, even if there is no change in the above.
