I've been doing a little digging about a month back on sites such as and about the Rockchip RK3188 processor.

There's quite a bit to be found. It's a 28nm quadcore CPU with Cortex-A9 infrastructure.
The performance is supposed to be a tad better than what you get with a Cortex-A7 quadcore (Allwinner A31).
The GPU performance allegedly beats that of the Tegra 3-tablet solutions by 40%.

Some brands have announced they have tablets as a work in progress which will implement this great looking processor.
Amongst them:
- Cube (10.1" and more!)
- Aoson (M30)
- Pipo

I'm sure there will be many more to come.
If this will continue the success of its predecessor, these will be quite the tablets to look out for!

To have a section to discuss the latest rumours / announced tablet models and processing power of the RK3188, please consider giving it its own section!
