Spare charger?

What about one of those adjustable ones withe the switch to change the voltage (or amperage - I forget) and a bunch of different connectors at the end. The type like you might find in Radio Shack. Oh sorry, I mean "the shack". there's one in the plaza by the Kentucky Fried.... I mean, KFC. When is Taco Bell going to start abbreviating its name? Oh, nevermind.

(That's Wal-Mart, Target and Best Buy for those that don't speak lazy.) When did talking become soooo hard?

I got the Enercell Universal 1000mA AC 3-12vdc Adapter at Radio Shack (catalog #273-316) for 19.99 with a free tip (you need Adaptaplug "I" catalog #273-341.) I also purchased the Enercell Heavy-Duty 12V/5A Power Cord (catalog #270-048) for 10.99 for use in the car. It uses the same tip as the AC adapter. Both work great with the Novel! They also had several cases there for ereaders that look like they would fit the Novel nicely.

7ah I believe.- The Shack is about the most expensive place to get the Universal Power Adapter , but does give you the ability to custom tip them for many devices. I have one laying around but if i remember they are very large. I have a 12v 1500Ah, the correct size it cost me $20 BUT I got 1 tip for free (a normal RadShack thing). Note: it is HUGE in physical dimension. - Many 3.5" External USB Harddrives use 12v 1.5a power supplies and they are usually much smaller. Make Sure the tip fits correctly and has the correct polatiry. thats my $0.02

Anybody have luck finding a car charger or additional wall plug?You dont need a specific charger. as long as you have a switching power supply which matches the output of your original charger in voltage and the same or greater output in power, you will be fine. For example, i have an Irobot Apad (red Led). the original charger is rated at 5v (Volts) 2a (amps) output so i bought a uniross universal adaptor (model number U0152570) multi voltage up to 2500ma (2.5A) so this has a better power rating than the original charger. most of these come with 6 or 7 various tips for mutilple gadgets so the very smallest one (2.35 outer diameter and 0.75 inner diameter-Yellow) works just fine with no problems. I took two chargers, one that had the right tip and one that had the right DC voltage, that were cord compatible, and Frankenstein'd them together. It cost me nothing more than a little solder and time. Since the new one's cord is thicker and the transformer/charger is beefier, it is a better one that the stock charger. I use it all the time to charge, and I have the one that came with my PDN in a little neoprene case to take on the go. If you have the supply of extra chargers like I do (about 40 different ones from just about every sort of device you can image), then it can be fun and save a little dough in the process. Be sure to check the voltage, though. Some 12V chargers output as much as 18V. I just used my meter to be sure I wasn't going to fry the PDN. It will probably take more than 16V, but I didn't want to risk it.
Try a Li-po RC helicopter battery. 11.1V 4000mAh 15C I use them on my HAM radios, Dell mini 9, etc.Cheap, powerfull, lite but possibly dangerous if not well cared for. Look for them on ebay ~20 each.For example 1 of those will power my portable HAM radio (FT-817 for other hams) for 6-10 hours with 5 watts output 25% TX to 75% RX. It would prolly run the PDN for 2 full days of normal use.
