android has been spawned from linux --> linux is based on gnu lisence. where can i get the source for the os that the m001 uses. the reason i am asking is that if i can get all the basic hardware driver info + the source code from the manufactorers/slatedroid roms that are on this site - in theory i should beable to run dsl on the m001 with touch screen support just by recompililing the kernel specifically fpr the m001 hardware. here is another question: why the 2.6 kernel and not the 2.4?
