Hello all you cyborgs! ;)I'm joining this forum after lurking for the last week or two while waffling over whether or not to purchase a Enken m001 because I know that sooner or later I'm going to make the jump to one or another of these kinds of devices and I want to be fully established here before I need help with my new toy.I already own an eeepc 901 Linux model, and one of the best things I ever did was join the eeeuser.com forums in preparation for getting that netbook. I hope that I will reap similar benefits from becoming a member of Slatedroid in advance of my purchasing whatever Slate I end up with.I am not exactly new to the PDA world, having owned in order of appearance:

Sharp Wizard 770
iPaq 1915
misc refurbished Palm Pilots--most of which did not last more than three months (what can you expect for under fifty dollars?) but which demonstrated to me the value of the PalmOS
Dell Axim x5
Palm Zire 72s
Palm Zire 31 (gift from relatives when the 72s went out)
Unfortunately no one really makes PDAs anymore, they've all but been replaced by 'smart phones' and as much as I love my eeepc there was just something about being able to toss a portable computer in my pocket and read it like a book. I really loved the way I could use my Palm Zire 72s as an eBook and how the case I bought for it made it look like a small book...Obviously I'm choosing to move on and move up--the only question is do I wait or do I hop in and get my feet wet, then buy better later once I know what I want?Hopefully by the time I figure it all out we'll have had a lot of fun...--bornagainpenguin
