Hi There,I know next to nothing about Android, but am going to grab a ZT-180 tomorrow to start having a play. Is it possible to get an RS232 port on one of these devices using a USB to Serial adaptor. I have searched around and found some pictures of how to mod a serial port in (I think) but nothing on if you can use the serial port. Thanks for the help.Does anyone know if this can be done. I have also flashed CE onto the device. It is possible with CE, but a clunky OS.

Thanks for that, I found this mod, but not this exact post with more details.Should this mod allow me to connect to routers etc (if I can find a terminal program for Android that supports serial) ?

I was going to start a new thread to ask this question, but fear the wrath of The Omen. The USB ports on the ZT-180, I bought a male mini to female full adapter thinking I could use the OTG as a second full USB port, but both a USB flash drive and my wifi dongle don't seem to work on it. I then tried to connect both to a USB hub (non-powered) attached to the full port, and the wifi dongle does light up, but the tablet doesn't seem to use it (uses the internal one instead I guess). Anyone know the limitations for both ports (full and OTG)? Is there a way I could use both the wifi dongle and a USB flash drive on the tablet at the same time?

The OTG port is dedicated already for dual use, flash before boot and ADB and FS mount post boot... the full size USB is general purpose and I do have a small 4 port hub connected and have been able to run Wifi and wireless keyboard via the hub simultaneously... my hub can be powered but so far I've had no reason to need to power it but I suspect is could handle more ports were we to find something else that would actually work...

The tablet does power the wifi dongle when both are attached (a steady led light is on, it doesn't blink on and off like when it's in use), but doesn't seem to use it, is there a workaround for this? (Other than openning up the tablet and disconnecting the internal - I thought maybe that would work but still don't want to open the tablet till I get it replaced by Flat Computing, just waiting for everything to stop working - already have battery issues and I think the internal wifi chip got way too overheated once and is barely useable now, I don't want to give Flat Computing a reason/issue not to replace my tablet.)

We do have - http://www.slatedroid.com/zt-180/41...0-confirmed-working-usb-peripherals-here.htmlbut that's probably only for USB peripherals that work, even though people have asked questions in there.Would be nice to see one combined thread for what works and what doesn't in the USB ports, but I can do that in the Wiki.
