Hello Mr. T.
I just received a G9 from MM as I was impressed by your YT vid. I installed your sw on my Win 7 64 and was successful in rooting and having full Google Play. The odd part is that the G9 did not revert to a fresh install state. Instead, it has my background and all of the apps I installed on it. The original version of the tablet was 4.0.3 and V4.15 (it is now V4.10). Is this correct or did I do something wrong. Sorry, I am new to this... I still have about 3 apps that are in all Chinese and I am unable to delete them. Thanks for your work and guidance.

If you flashed the firmware in this thready, then yes it will be v4.10... also if you did not flash with format, then yes your icons would still be there.
Provided you are rooted, you can load up a program like ES File Explorer... enable root/system access in the settings and then go to system/app and delete the 3 programs in question.

Thank you Mr. Tasselhof,
The G9 seems to be slow to response, sometimes taking 3-5 seconds to respond, unlike the responsiveness noted on your YT video. This was the case even with stock configs, prior to any changes. Do you think it will help if I format it and flash it with your script or is this normal operations for this device? If so, how can I format it? Thanks, again, I am pretty much new to this and apologize for what may seem so trivial to others.

Regards,

Regards,
you may want to root and download SetCPU.

Then you can see what the existing settings are... I imagine it may be set to OnDemand which would explain the couple seconds of delay as it ramps up.
You could try setting it to performance mode and see if that helps.

Hi Mr T,

I have installed the new firmware and the script. When I download programs such as Angry Birds I get "error - Package file not signed correctly". I was abel to get angry birds to install fine through market on the factory firmware, any ideas how to fix this or get around it. Thanks for all you hard work on the scripts.

The Build.Prop was copied over... the failed items you see are the actual market app which you already have installed.

You need to reboot the tablet... you may even want to clear the Cache from the Market app and Google Services Framework.

I have run the GAPPS scrpt, but nothing happeneed. None of the google apps is installed, but the ones installed in the superscript.

I noticed they are in folder ***\Tasselhof - SuperScript Add-On - GAPPS\ICS\s4, but they are not installed. I'm specially interested in the calendar app, but when going to "settings>syncronization" I just can sync the gmail and google photos, but there is no option about calendar.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Hi, Mr. Tasselhof.

I'm just new to this topic and android thing because i just got my first android almost a month ago, a tablet pc with specs like ainol novo aurora, running on ICS 4.03.
yesterday, i tried rooting not using the script but other apps. And because busybox, i got my internal storage 0,and always reset factory after reboot/shutdown.
The solution i find is using your script to help rooting.

I get my problem solved, thanks a lot.

But..
Because of i'm new, i tried the option 1-5, and not long ago i got another problem.
Before i tried rooting using this script, my google play is working fine, but now, the apps recognized as market, not google play, and i can't run it. I always got error connection and ask to retry, or server error. My internet connection on wifi is fine cos i have tried browsing and runs well.
Is there a way how to switch back my stock google play?

update: clearing cache and wipe data, run the script for market and it become google play (like bowler did in page 2), solved. i never turn sync on but it somehow started and made the market error. (do not have good internet connection)

And another thing is, it's seem there's something/some apps which i don't know, seems need internet connection. It's really draining out my battery life, and it's annoying. Is it related to the one of application installed when i'm running option 1-5? or is there a solution to this?
What apps that can show me what other apps are using internet?

update: sync is one of the problem, but seems there's something else, still need solution and app to show apps that use connection.

Thanks.

I tried to root my Sanei N10 with your script but got following errors on option 2) (after the two reboot), see pic http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/401/sshot1sx.png/

Ok, so am I too newbie to that stuff
or are there two essential files missing in Tasselhofs zip file?

I copied my su and busybox binary file (/system/app) from my existing HP TouchPad into the Tasselhofs folder on my pc and did option 1) and 2) again. And voila, I have root now!

update: Ok, looks like IZarc don't exracted the files from tasselhofs archive which hasn't any file extension (su, busybox). So it was a problem of IZarc, using 7zip now, no problems!
