Hi All,

So I have been diligently working on this script and testing it to make sure it works how I plan.
This is sort of a combined script based off of the work of myself, Ivanz, & Almaz's script from the Aurora forums.

I call this a "Superscript" because it is essentially an all-in-one solution which allows you to pick and choose what you want to do.

Download Link: AndroidTabletFirmware.com - Tasselhof - STOCK - Root, Market, Build.Prop, & Tweaks Script - AllWinner A10.rar

- If you get a file that just says "Tasselhof"... rename it to "Tasselhof.rar".

Alternate Link: Mediafire.com - Tasselhof - Root, Market, Build.Prop, & Tweaks Script - AllWinner A10.rar

[hr]
It has also been suggested that using a download assistant type program can prevent corruption/timeout issues with AndroidTabletFirmware.com:
Here is a basic on as a suggestion/try: Download.com - Internet Download Manager
[hr]

**PLEASE NOTE**
This script was created and tested based on the Gemei G9 Stock firmware 4.0.3 v4.10 dated 2012-03-23.
It should work on the other firmwares without issue.

AS ALWAYS - PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK

Here is the script Menu when you run it:
Make sure to enable USB Debugging on the tablet
- Settings -) Applications -) Development -) USB debugging (green checkmark)
'
1. Check Tablet Connection
2. ROOT - Gemei G9 - Using Transformer ROOT Script
3. Install Google Play (Android Market), GAPPS, and Sync
4. Replace the Build.Prop to enable additional apps in market
'
***** ADDITIONAL OPTIONS *****
5. Install System Tweaks and Files
'
***** DISABLE/ENABLE SYSTEM SERVICES *****
6. Disable Services to Increase Battery Life
- Such as: Phone, 3G, Bluetooth, Provision, VPN
7. Re-Enable All Services
8. Enable Only 3G Services
9. Enable Only VPN Services
'
10. Quit and Reboot Tablet (Preferred)
'
Choose Option (1 thru 10):
Here are what the options will do:
1.) Verifies that the tablet is connected and recognized by the system
2.) Runs the Transformer ICS ROOT script which has been confirmed to work with the MOMO11 bird firmware (this will reboot the tablet a couple times)
3.) Install the Google Play Market and missing /System/app "GAPPS"
4.) Replaces the existing Build.Prop with a modified and tweaked one that contains a Market Key based off of the Samsung Galaxy SII (should open up more app compatibility)
5.) Installs various system tweaks and settings (purely optional to run)
6.) Disables the Phone and VPN services to attempt to increase battery life
7.) Enables the services disabled in number 6
8.) Selectively enables only the phone/3G aspects
9.) Selectively re-enables the VPN aspects
10.) This will close the command prompt window and reboot the tablet, which I advise you do if you ran options 3, 4, and 5
Here are my detailed instructions for what to do after flashing the firmware to your device to get it to a "normal" English state:
1.) (OPTIONAL) Install with format the Gemei G9 Stock ICS 4.0.3 v4.10 firmware
2.) Boot the tablet and connect it to USB.
3.) Click the Blue Square button (to cancel the tutorial)
4.) Change the language to English
a.) Click on the Time (give it a second to come up)
b.) Click on the Settings Icon below the popped up time (three lines with sliders)
c.) Click on the Settings Icon at the bottom of the popped up list (same icon)
d.) Scroll down the Left Hand side and click on the icon with an A
e.) Click the first field on the right hand side
f.) Select your preferred language (for me it would be English (United States)
5.) Change the Default Keyboard in the same settings page as lanuage
a.) Click on Default
b.) Click on English (US) - Android keyboard
6.) Set the Date, Time, and Time Zone
a.) Click on Date & Time along the left hand side of the settings
b.) Uncheck Automatic Time Zone
c.) Click on Select time zone and set it to yours
d.) Verify the time is correct and change it if needed.
7.) Configure the Wireless Settings
a.) Scroll up to Wi-Fi on the left of settings
b.) Turn on Wi-Fi with the toggle switch
c.) Connect to your Wireless Network
8.) Exit the Settings
Now we use the script!

1.) Download the script file: LINK and extract the folder
2.) Ensure your tablet is connected by USB to the top MicroUSB port (near headphone jack)
3.) Double click on: !RUN-ME-Tasselhof-Root-Market-Tweaks.bat
4.) Use Option 1 (verify the tablet connection)
5.) Use Option 2 (ROOT the tablet, will reboot twice)
6.) Use Option 3 (Install Market and GAPPS)
7.) Use Option 4 (Update Build.Prop)
8.) Use Option 5 (Install Tweaks and Files)
9.) Use Option 6 (Disable unused services)
10.) Use Option 10 (Close and Reboot the Tablet)
You are now all done and should have a relatively blank slate to start from.
You will be prompted to configure your Google account when you open the Android Market.

Enjoy!

MrTasselhof,

I noticed that the ICS folder of the script contains some apps such Google Maps. Are these to be installed on the device? I am asking because the Google Maps I downloaded from the Play Store does not seem to work...

Another quick question.

I noticed that the guide suggests using the top USB port, labelled as Host on the G9. Does that make a difference? The reason I am asking is because for some reason my PCs do not fully recongnise that port. Any way this can be fixed?

i can only speak for myself but i am using the host usb port only when i want to connect USB Sticks. I use the "normal" USB port when i connect my gemei to the computer. Either to copy something on it or to do an update. i dont think the host usb port is any good in connecting the tablet with the computer

I uses this script on my Teclast A10T..with Teclat 4.0.3 (v1.04 release_
It became rooted...and the build.prop changes...speed feels good.

However, i encounter many Gameloft games incompatiable..
Dungeon Hunter 3, 6 guns, MC3 etc.

In the build.prop, i did not amend..leaving it as a G9.

Any way out?

You can always modify the build.prop manually on the device and then reboot.

Help!! Tried rooting my tablet and things did not go well. I connected device and updated drivers for all "yellow" items so that there are none showing now. Should I have an "other devices" item on my device manager? I do have Gemie listed under "disk drives" and those drivers are up to date. I tried several but the current are the most up to date. I opened the script and checked for connection and I get message "ADB server is out of date. Killing..." ADB server didn't ACK. *Failed to start daemon*
Originally it showed a device and I attempted to root. It ran through the process with several errors involving ADB and daemon. It rebooted a couple of times and then said it was done. From that point the system was super laggy and superuser was not installed. I tried going through it again and now it doesn't show the device connected. Looking in device manager I still see no yellow items so I don't know what to try from here?

Edit - Got it. Had to uninstall Droid Exployer from my computer then it worked perfectly

You have plugged on the top USB connector (near headset plugin)
Try the other one.
Another thing: you have to activate the USB debug in parameters (developers tools submenu).
Hope that help you!
Thank you!

I was in the right USB connector, but I hadn't activate USB debug as I didn't find it in Applications... But it's not in Applications.
Thanks again for your time, and thanks for this script.
