Is there anything out there that will make the user experience of the Augen better??? My freakin iPhone still blows this thing out of the water. You can't type for sh1t on the Augen. Is there a better resistive screen app?I am debating just returning it and waiting for a capacitive screen tablet under 250.

likely a long wait... It will improve with firmware upgrades. I assume the tech on this is almost identical to the PDN, and recent updates have improved the PDN considerably. the gentouch will improve.

Good luck with that.Capacitive screens are expensive now it will be a few years before the price comes down to where it can be in a sub 300 device. It takes a little time to get used to it and swapping back and forth with an iphone just makes it worse to retrain muscle memory.

I can't type on it... it takes me 3 times the amount of time to type. I have to use my iphone if I want to post messages. The iphone zooms in faster too.I just can't see the point in using it if it is going to be so slow.I had the PDN... returned it because it kept crashing. At least the Augen doesn't crash. The PDN's typing just was terrible too.Back to the Augen, the video isn't all that great either... way better than the PDN, but still subpar. I like watching porn :) and if the thing displays poorer video than thr iPhone then I am skeptical of the tablet.I'm just being totally honest.I think the only way to go is with a far more responsive screen... my question is, is it possible to make a resistive screen much better with software? What has to be done?

I use the sylus. It is more accurate than my finger but typing on my iphone is much faster. The stylus is still gruelingly slower. So, I wonder if there is a way to alter the Droid Keypad Software to make the response more sensitive? The screen Software?

How much do you guys think this will cost? 250 or less?I like this one though the most (Samsung MAKES the iPad and iPhone4 processor):the Samsung Galaxy Tab PC will feature a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A8 CPU which is reputed to be faster than the A4 CPU. The operating system is going to be Android OS 2.2 Froyo and not Windows 7. The Galaxy Tab's 7-inch SUPER AMOLED screen is smaller than the iPad but it will be viewable under the sun. Like its Apple counterpart, the touch screen display will support multi-touch operations and accelerometer controls. The first batch of Samsung's tablet computers will come equipped with 16 GB of built-in storage and is upgradeable with microSDHC memory cards up to 32 GB-size. Lastly, the 4,000mAh battery will offer more than 5 hours of use.http://www.kokeytechnology.com/gadg...tablet-pc-release-date-price-specs-and-photo/

Dude, it's a resistive screen. There isn't a lot you can do to it in terms of making it better. You are coming off an iPhone and going to this and you expected it to be similar, that was not a good expectation. Best you can do is either learn to work with it better and/or stop comparing it to your iPhone.

they'll upclock to the spec, eventually, but only does so much. And then your battery is toast.

So that's the answer then. You don't think it is possible to just make the keyboard super sensitive?Maybe come up with a revolutionary way to type?Or will all the capacitive screens just win out in the end making these devices obsolete?

Basically..... yes. The screen technology is outdated. Common knowledge. I have a program that has extra sensitive buttons (xbmc remote control app) already installed. The extra sensitivity does not do anything to balance out the screen. I plan on installing swype, but I know what the end result will be. As for coming up with a revolutionary way of typing, no one will do that because none of the serious companies will need to, much less want to just on the fact that they use similar screens that are found on devices like Moto Droid and iPhone/iPad/iPod. So yes, that's the answer.
