I'm using a white (unhacked as of right now) Novel, and want to install the newest FW update. However, I notice that on the PD site, there is a disclaimer that says that updating the FW will delete my bookmarks and other saved information. Is it possible to save and restore this data after an update?I looked through the forum, but didn't see this issue. If there is another thread that answers this, please point me to it, and then delete this post. Thanks!

user.data removal from the zip is the only non-hacky way I'd think, which should also save all your settings and configurations. If it's hacked, there's a nifty app called "Bookmarks to SD" which can sync up all your Google Bookmarks to the browsers on the PDN. And it's free.

[quote name='cleireac;49081]Got it' date=' thanks![/QUOTE'] OK, so you were talking about the browser bookmarks. I was thinking you were asking about PD eBook bookmarks & notes. Any hope for those? I use Aldiko, so I am asking for those who use the PD reader.

Aldiko settings are on the SD card - I know this from my own experience. I've wiped this clean (inclusding user data), reinstalled Aldiko and it allows me to import my old settings - I assume from my SD card. If it didn't do that I'd never finish reading my current book.
