Has anyone solved the su must be suid to work properly / root issue in 1.7.4?

you'll need su in the dropbox + the right chmods + some lines @ update.sh
I guess it could be done on linux forcing the su command with sudo su. But i didnt try it yet so its just a guess.
sudo command dont exist, and su gives me "su must be suid to work properly" :S
