I used Moborobo and superoneclick to root my n90, http://www.moborobo.com/ give it a go!

I can confirm that this method works for rooting the device.
The instructions are VERY simple.

1) Link: Download Moborobo
2) Download this modified SuperOneClick - Short Fuse
View attachment SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse Modded.zip 3) Install Moborobo and open it
4) Make sure USB Debugging is enabled on your tablet (Settings --> Developer Options)
5) Connect your Window N90 Dual Core tablet to your PC
6) Wait for Moborobo to see the device
7) Extract the contents of SuperOneClick
Run SuperOneClick.exe
9) Click on Root
10) Click on Yes (it says device is already rooted do you wish to continue)

That's it... you are all done and ROOTED!

Can you give the basic instructions I haven't used these programs. Would be a huge help.

Nevermind found it on XDA. THank you so much for getting me going in the right direction.
Sorry, I must be being dim, I can't get SuperOneClick to go beyond "starting ADB daemon..." or whatever it says.

I couldn't find any mention of using moborobo on XDA

Moborobo is installed, the tablet is connected and recognised by Moborobo, I run SuperOneClick (2.3.3.0), and - nothing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

M.

i re rooted mine just now.

1. Use Moborobo to install the adb drivers for the tab, and confirm connectivity.
2. Download the attached version of shortfuse, this is a modded version and i can confirm this works.
3. Run shortfuse and click root, it may say that the device is already rooted, click ignore and watch progress.
4. Shortfuse will send an su command to the device and confirm that it is rooted.
5. Done!

see how you get on

Thanks, this worked for me. I was using the unmodded superoneclick which would keep freezing on me, but the shortfuse one worked.
But my main reason for rooting was to use Buttonremapper from xda to remap the annoying power button to the side esc/back button, which hasn't worked for me. Has anyone else tried this? I don't get an error or anything, I just remap the key, restart the tablet as needed but nothing has changed.

Thank you - your modded version of SuperOneClick worked where the one from their website didn't.
root is easy. success. thanks.
any one tried mount usb harddrive to you n90?
i failed.
Thanks for the rooting guide peafield4.
Worked perfectly and I installed Root Explorer and SetCPU.
Is there anyway to do this on mac or linux machines? I have usb debugging enabled and I can't connect to my device, I have 4 other android devices that can connect just fine. Any help would be very much apreciated.

maybe it's the wrong thread but ... I succeded in rooting my Yuandao N90 dual core .. but I still can't install Facebook from the market (like other apps) or remove preinstalled apps like DoPool Tv. What shall I do to this? Install a new firmware on the device? Ins't the root enough? Thank you

Use titanium back up to remove bloat by uninstalling through there and follow the thread that talks about fixing google market.
