Hey, Pas. Thank you for making custom ROM for these cheap chinese tablets.

I have a question. Got ZTPad C92 with 1Ghz CPU with /mnt/flash/version.txt file consists this string:

ZT282_H4_1a_1GB_C92+_Android4.0_0523_V1.2

But in your rom I can find only ZT282_H3 in c92 folder. Is it safe to install it over my current, probably official ROM (which is very laggy, and I definitely want to change it, but it's also would be nice not to get device bricked after this :)

Do you mean the H3 in the version.txt file? I think that was just a typo....

It does look like it is the correct files in the c92 folder for the H4_1a (spl and sd taken from the 0818 ROM, and my 2gb mod from the 0818 kernel and recovery http://www.zenithink.com/UploadFile/temp/ZT282_H4_1a_1GB_C92+_Android4.0_0818_V1.32.zip .)

Oh. I read the entrie thread and now I see. Just flashed ZeniBasic 1.3 and everything seems ok! Build number in settings shows 4.0.3 ZeniBasic v1.2 28/02/13 (not 1.3 for some reason), Antutu result is same as in old stock fw (and even worse) and I can't say it's smooth and extremely fast in any situation, BUT it's still much better, seems like no more annoying freezes/hangs. Thank you omarahum for your contribution to this work!

And you guys are absolute legends for how you give help to punters you dont even know..
This!

I wonder if some build.prop tweaks would make your tablet feel a little bit smoother or not?

Wonder if you replace your build.prop contents with the following, would your tablet perform smoother?:

I wonder if some build.prop tweaks would make your tablet feel a little bit smoother or not?
Just replace /system/build.prop with your one, right? Done, reboot, playing with interface, surfing the web. No, I don't see any noticeable changes. Antutu result is also same. Info in Settings > About tablet is updated.

I think it's a hardware limitations and I just want too much from this cheap device :) Can assist you in any further experiments/testing though, if will need (until I sell this tablet to someone else).

Just one question.

I Installed v1.3 and it works fine but I have a problem with this app (bought!!)

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mingoville.funclock.free

with stock firmware no problem, but with zenibasic v1.3 app hangs at boot (I tap on the icon, screen became black and in a few second I come back to the android main screen). Developer sent me a special version of the APP for the debugging but it hangs before generate logs.

Can you try the APP and tell me why it doesn't work? It's the only APP cause me problems.

Thanks

Hi,

The top post of page 1 shows a link to version 1.3, but Pas shows v1.3.1 as the footer. So, where can I download version 1.3.1, the one I suppose is the latest.
1.3 is the latest version..... I asked Pas once about the +0.0.1 once, he said he usually customizes the ROM he uses on his tablet slightly than the one he shares, thus the addition of the .1 at the end in his signature.... ;)

Hi folks,

Just want to report the v3.1 download link is broken. Looks like putlocker has been replaced by firedrive -- but it's as simple as replacing "putlocker.com" with "firedrive.com" in the link (this)

Anyone still have this file somewhere?
I like to give my old C91 a new life :)
The link in the post above yours works.

I just installed this image, but when I start the play store, it asks me for my google account. I enter my credentials, but it isn't possible because of user/password, even they are correct.

I've enabled 2factor-auth, does that matter?

thanks in advance!

----EDIT----

I just found the solution.

As the default gapp in ICS doesn't support two-factor auth completely, just create an application specific password. this works.
