I see from the description in the Vincent ROM that it changes the tablet to a Nexus 7. Is there a way to do this without installing the Vincent ROM? I am happy with the way I have my tablet at the moment, running stock firmware 20121120, but I would like to make it more accessible to the Play Store.

Thanks for the replies, is the GO Launcher HD part of the official 20121120 ROM then or is it something you added to your VINCENT ROM darkrickpr.

is base on the 2012-11-20 and havet mod the apps space
Darkrickpr,

just upgraded to your rom, thanks for your work on this, it's very clean and works well. I do see though that when I look at the storage portion on settings it shows as 1GB for app storage but I thought you had updated it to 2GB ... I did run a nand erase and flashed everything thank came with your rom except RK30xxLoader(L)_V1.20 ... did I do something wrong or is the app storage still at 1GB ?

Thanks, FredT

Dear darkrickpr I have a problem with my Momo8 Ips,in fact i don't know how to install your custom rom in my device because of it doesn't have any other button a part of the power. So if you can make a step to step guide to install your firmware, i'll be very grateful. Thank you

You will be editing the build.prop you can use Rom Tool Box to do so. Use this guide as reference.

I think there is a settings on the tkbatchtool that would allow you to make the apps partition as 2GB "Parameters" tab i think.
Thanks I will check it out but i was certain that the Vincent rom had this already built into its parameter file.

Can anyone that has flashed this rom please tell me what the size of your internal storage is?

Thanks!

Is it possible to get rid of the status bar? or hide it while playing 4:3 video full screen?
There is no section on the config app. Default video player could manage to do so, but others (i.e MX Player) could not.

Thanks for quick reply.

3 dots, that is exactly the thing what I'm talking about.
For 16:9 aspect video, it is fine. ( I mean tolerable...)
Not for 4:3 video. It is annoying as hell, don't you think?
I bought this 4:3 screen tablet in order to view 4:3 video full screen.

If you got any idea, please share.

Hi DarkRik,

Please can you help me, I think I have bricked my Momo8 trying to flash your ROM via RKAndroidTool.

I set all the relevant boxes carefully but kept getting download error when flashing (well it actually says downloading) so what I did was plug the USB cable into the back ports and just flashed the system.img which verified and flashed perfectly.

I was then going to flash the other sections separately (directly after the system.img flash) but says 'No Found RKAndroid rock usb' so I unplugged the USB cable and tried another USB port - nothing, it's as if nothing is plugged in (in other words no 'hello you've plugged a USB device in' sound!)

The tablet remains black, holding on button does nothing and pluggin in charger does nothing.

What can I do (btw, i did not flash the kernel section)

Please help!

Hi, Thanks for the reply.

The tablet is not recognised by the PC in any way so cannot get to re-flash it.
I didn't erase IDB, just hit update (i've used Odin on my mobile before so I know what i'm doing, or so I thought!)

Hi, I have tried to hold the button for 30 seconds without connecting to USB, would connecting both make a difference?

Thanks for your continued help
