Help please my touch screen is not responding and i think its bc i didnt back-up the env_uboot and wmt_scriptcmd files from my devices factory firmware.

WHAT SHOULD I DO??? IS THERE ANY HOPE?

Just be carefull of what you put on it And try to get a positive ID on your tab. Took me a few weeks to get my firmware. So use the site above to see if any of the tabs there are the same as yours.

The sound dont work in my Tablet Zagg via Wm8650 7". When i plug the headphone its work : the sound speaker and headphone at the same time !!! What i can do ?

It is! you do not need two different Uzimage is 1.5.3

try to extract GreenLedVibDualPointTouch.env_uboot.zip
in SDcard in firmwareinstall/env
accept if ask to overwrite en_uboot

Thank you for this, my wife & I bought her nephew a 7" MID WM8650 Build 1.5.3 with a green LED. I didn't realiz that a blue LED and a green was such a big deal.

its been a while since I have been on the forums as I was fairly satisfied with running Uberoid on my VIA 7" (Green LED, Black headphone), and I was asked to prepare another tablet of the same specs with Uberoid, and for some reason, I just could not get it to fully install like normal, never mind though.

I thought I would check back and found this version on here, and I installed on the other VIA 7" without changing any settings, and installing it directly as setup with the latest update. This is superb, and works perfectly, much smoother and much cleaner of an install, which is amazing.

I solved the problem of battery bug as follows:

I opened the env_boot with notepad and pasted it there at the end of the file the following code

setenv wmt.vt160x.bat 1:0:10:0

I saved, copied to the sd and installed the rom

Sorry for bad English .. I just want to share and help those who are having the same problem. I loved this ROM and is now 100% functional.

Hi Guys,
Just thought I would post, because I have no touch screen.

I hated the original firmware because it was too bloaty and heavy.
It also did not work with Siemens Gigaset Wifi Routers, and didnt work with ANY Linksys Router, but it did connect to Belkin - ALL Configured to use WPA2 Authentication. (if that helps)

Now..
I ran the rom update and after several roms, versions etc.. I now have a screen to look at which is very Nice, but no touchscreen.
I can drive is if I use a USB mouse attached to the dongle that it comes with.

However;
I struggled (as many others did) with the identification of the tablet.

So....
I now think I have an EKEN M003s.
It says VIA CPU on the back and nothing else really..
I lost the manual and box ages ago.
It runs Android 2.2 (would love something a bit higher if possible)
Says its Wonder Media 8650 in the about section.
the Android version it ran was a froyo - eng version.

I now have uberoid on it, but would like to have the screen and sound (if it doesnt work)
LED is red when charging and Green when booting (on)
Pictures attached for anyone who can help me wind out what this is.
I actually purchased this from "lightinthebox.com" as ePad 8"

I'm not a complete noobm, but sadly I am to the world of Android...

try this firmware

Instructions:
1. download the file
2. format a 4Gb Sdmmc
3. extract the contents to the memory card
4. safely remove it after the copying process
5. make sure your tablet PC is turned off and that it is fully charged
6. insert the memory card in the slot of your tablet
7. power on the tablet
8. wait for the installation process to end
9. when you see the message at the bottom to remove the sd card "Remove It"
IMP* the first booting will consume a little time.. have apatience

Note: if during the installation process if any Errors such as
"Cannot Upgrade Kernal Nand" and
"*Error mounting Android Partition" etc.,
Then turn off your tablet follow the steps 10-12

10. Download files from below make sure you create a new folder for each file namely fix1 and fix2

11. copy uzImage.bin from the folder fix1 to: /firmwareinstall folder on the sd card. Windows should prompt for overwrite answer yes
