If you appreciate my work and would like to support me with a small donation you can click on button.
If every happy user of this rom would just donate a couple per month I could invest more time in all these Android projects, it'd cost you just like one coffee per month.

Instructions

* Unrar the "common" rar file and put "zt-update" folder to the root of a microsd.
* Put rom (cm-10.1-$DATE-UNOFFICIAL-c97.zip) and gapps (gapps-jb-$DATE-signed-ubifs.zip) files inside internal or external sdcard.
* Turn on the tablet keeping pressed VOL+ and POWER. Press VOL+ to confirm and you'll boot to CWM recovery.
* If this is your first install flash this file that will format /system, /data and /cache partitions and from "Wipe" menu erase "Android secure".
* Flash rom (cm-10.1-$DATE-UNOFFICIAL-c97.zip), gapps (gapps-jb-$DATE-signed-ubifs.zip) and, if you're using a different device, the required compatibility zip.
* Now select "Reboot system now".
* Enjoy CyanogenMod 10.1!

Changelog & download links

2013-05-18

* Updated upstream sources

Common 2013-03-03
ROM (md5sum)
Gapps 2013-03-01

Compatibility files for C93 H6 1F

Common 2013-03-03
Compatibility v1.1

Compatibility files for C93 H6 2F

TWRP recovery (create a folder named "zt-update" in your MicroSD and unzip there the recovery.img file; the bootloader will do the rest when you use the buttons trigger combination)
Compatibility v1.1

Note that if you're running the latest C93 stock firmware "ZT283_H6_2f_1GB_Android4.1_0202_V1.6" you will have to use this TWRP and this comp zip.
If you accidentaly used the previous files you'll see that partition's got fucked up and you'll have to flash the stock firmware to fix them

Issues

* Use another launcher (I suggest you "Nova" or "Apex") because Trebuchet screws the layout.
* Bluetooth stack has changed: USB bluetooth is not working right now; only devices with UART (internal) bluetooth works.
* If your device has only a front camera you won't have a camera launcher icon, but you can install this app

FAQs

* If you don't like Nexus 7 fingerprint and wanna use SGS-II instead flash this zip. Remember that changing fingerprint may screw Play Store, if it happens you'll have to perform a "wipe data / factory reset".
* WiFi now can stay enabled with display turned off. Note that if WiFi is enabled the tablet won't enter deep sleep so if you're more interestead in battery life instead of an always on WiFi change policy (on "Advanced" WiFi settings) from "Always" to "Never".
* Internal memory is mounted at /storage/sdcard0, external sdcard is mounted at /storage/sdcard1. If you wanna swap them (and make primary your real microsd) just flash this file after flashing rom's zip (you have to do it everytime you flash a new version of the rom)
* If you wanna format your internal memory (it's corrupted, filled of crap, etc.) just flash this file from recovery. If it fails try to unmount internal storage from "Mount" section.
* It's better if you don't change governor because the included "ondemand" has been customized to support "boostpulse" feature of jelly bean power hal. You can control min/max cpu frequency with display on/off editing these entries in /system/build.prop file (they're listed with their default value): "ro.sys.min_cpu_on=408000", "ro.sys.max_cpu_on=1200000", "ro.sys.min_cpu_off=96000", "ro.sys.max_cpu_off=1008000".

Hi, I successfully installed the rom on my C93 H6-f1 (great work, great rom!!). However, on my second C93, H6-f2 with v2.2 stock rom, the TWRP doens't mount the internal storage. Due to this issue the rom installation fails. I've tried both TWRP images listed under the H6-f2 section. Can you help me out?
flash the new stock 2f that is linked in the OP (the newer one) and use the newer comp zip / recovery for that firmware
what's not clear in the op? just to know where you're stuck

Thanks, I flashed the stock rom v1.6 (linked in the OP). Next I installed your ROM with the newer TWRP (2013/30/03) but the gapp and compatibility failed to install. To install the comp zip and gapp I switched off the tablet, put the TWRP from 2013/23/02 on my tfcard, reboot in recovery and installed gapp and comp zip. This worked fine for me.

Hi there !

I'm a noob on Android and a french user, so please excuse my mistakes !

Thanks a lot for your ROM Christian. I'm using it on a C93 H6-f1, and it's really faster. I've installed the 2013-05-05, and recently the 2013-05-18 but i still have a little problem.

Sometimes, after i press the power button to wake the tablet, it freezes. If a wait for 20 secs, then it reboots. I've watched the catlog, but looks like it's cleared each time it reboots. I was trying to catch a log with my conputer and USB cable, but i don't understant how.

First i was thinking about a "lock screen" issue but i've removed it, and it's not better. Here is a video of the problem, i'll be happy if you have some clues, i've read a lot of posts on forums but not found a solution yet.

PS: i'll be happy to introduce myself, but i need 3 posts to be approved

It must be some app you've installed that maybe tries to sync or do whatever the app is going to do when the screen turns on and for some reason fails and crashes the whole system.
Try to do a factory reset and see if it happens on a "naked" system
Hi Chris,

I've the Zenithink C97 and I'm using your ROM CM 10.1 with the previous update before 18-05, and sometimes my tablet restart by it self. Could you help me ?

Hi Christian, first at all tanks a lot for your excellent work, I have a C93 with ZT283_H6_2f_1GB_Android4.1_20130316_V2.2, I try to flash the updated ROM from 2013-05-18, i use the TWRP recovery for ZT283_H6_2f_1GB_Android4.1_0202_V1.6, but when i try to install the compatibily i have an error and the istallation is aborted. if i try to boot the tablet without this upgrade, the CM starts but when the start screens appear, an error that says that "com.android.phone" crasher and it repeats forever. please can you help me??

Hello I'm a (french) novice and I tried to install CM 10.1 to my c93 2F model.

I've the ZT283_H6_2f_1GB_Android4.1_20130316_V2.2.zip rom now.

i don't understand what is the process to install CM 10.1.

gapps 's and comp's installation failed !

Must be used common 2013-03-03 file or PWRP ?

Can you help me please.
you have to flash the 2F 1.6 in the OP and after that fetch its recovery.img and comp zip and follow instructions
I'm so sorry but : first I've install ZT283_H6_2f_1GB_Android4.1_0202_V1.6
next cm-10.1-20130518-UNOFFICIAL-c97.zip with C93_2f_new_TWRP.rar
and impossible to install gapps-jb-20130301-amlogic.zip or 4c93_h6_2f-cm10.1-comp-1.1-0316Kernel.zip installations aborted.

What am I doing wrong ?

Let's wait for flsuperstore, he's flashing C93 with those files at least 5/10 every day, I don't have the C93 so I can't help you for this issue
Hi Chris,

I found a problem with my Zenithink C97: yesterday I put my tablet charging and when it was at 100% I took the cable out of it and I pressed the POWER button just to suspend it, and today at the end of the day he was with no power at all and of course I did not use it. How could this be possible ?

Plz help me
Is your WIFI set to be on permanently? Because i had that problem, and had to change it to time out under the advanced options for the WIFI
correct, the default wifi sleep policy won't let the tablet enter deep sleep.

the first thing in my wishlist would be that wifi can work with tablet in deep sleep. So far any chinese SOC support this feature because their deep sleep it's like an S3 state in a regular PC (suspend to ram), instead of a very low power state where the soc turns off everything is not needed... something more complex instead of simply putting it in standby
