Hi

Firstly, great work by the way!

Second, I have a C93 2F running v2.2 and am trying to downgrade and am following your instructions however I get two errors. I am not new to modding but my understanding of your instructions is that you make a folder called 'zt-update and unrar the TWRP file and place the TWRP.img file there. All other files go into the root of the SD card. Now, your first line is flash the 1.6 stock ROM. As this file is a zip I left it that way and it looked at the package and aborted the installation. I then unzipped these files as placed them on the root of the SD card and it gave me an 'assert failed !less_than_int(135892, getprop("ro.build.date.utc))" error.

In short I cannot seem to downgrade in order to progress as I tried to bypass the downgrade and only the CMod flashed the GAPPS and Comp file didn't. I had to load stock v2.2 back on from the Zenithink site which worked fine (which I had to do by unzipping all files to the root of the SD card).

Is there something I am missing as this device is rarely compatible with much on the Market and I need to fix that, plus I like Cyanogen Mod. Even a simple unlocking the bootloader and rooting would serve my purpose of fixing the market through the build.prop file but finding instructions on that comes to nought.

To downgrade you have to use the stock recovery, so fully replace the "zt-update" folder with the one with the stock update (downgrade in this case), after that call the TWRP.img "recovery.img" (isn't it called already that way in the TWRP rar? I should have forgon to rename it in case I'll reupload it), anyway the bootloader tries to load an uboot image located at /sdcard/zt-update/recovery.img

Try playing with the usual build.prop entries, are you using a c93?

try adding (or editing if the entry is already present)

ro.camera.orientation.front=0/90/180/270
ro.camera.orientation.back=0/90/180/270

I don't think, it requires a different partition layout for being a nice work (and not some nasty hack).

Yes, reboot the recovery from the reboot command. And look at the integrity of the package checking the md5sum

have tried the method for C93 2F but cannot get it to work. I am new to this and probably not following correctly but when I go to reboot system nothing happens. I get the green droid and the system seems to hang. Have looked through all the files in common, rom, gapps and compatabiliy and there seems to be no update.zip file. Thought this was necessary to perform update. I would really like a rooted version of the official rom. Would make life a lot easier for newbies.

Regards

Alan

Just thought I'd quote CT in this thread about CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio) BT Dongles:

The awesome Ricardo Cerqueira has integrated USB bluetooth support in the new stack using libusb, a very clever solution; I'd never thought about it

Since yesterday I spent lot of time trying to make it work, enabling some debug stuff into libusb and bt code to see why it was failing, at the end I managed to make it work and I've added an helper application that will set the correct permissions when a recognised dongle is plugged in.

I've added it to the FAQs and I won't include it in regular builds:

* If you wanna use a USB bluetooth device flash this zip after each rom update (flash it after the comp zip, practically as last file). It supports only CSR devices, they can be identified typing "lsusb" from an app like "terminal emulator": the supported device will be present with an entry like "Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0a12:0001" ("0a12:0001" is the supported VID:pID). Do not boot with the bluetooth plugged in; plug it once you booted to android.
I tried it and it's working, IMHO the older stack was behaving better with btusb but at least it's better than nothing.

Just some hints... if for some reason your BT dongle that was working doesn't work anymore open up terminal emulator and as root type "bt-reset" and reboot (remember to unplug the dongle).

As explained in the OP only that dongle is supported, if you have another one that was working with CM10 (but not an atherok ath3k device!) post me the result of "lsusb" and I'll white list it to see if it will work with this new stack too.

PS: I've tested it on an Aurora2 running the 3.0.50 kernel and a C97, it worked on both.
Edit: Just confirming, it's working with my C93 1f on CM10.1 (0303 kernel/0712 ROM)....

Thank you Ricardo Cerqueira & Christian Troy!

PS - Had to do the bt-reset, remove BT, reboot, and plug back in once Android is fully loaded).....

you just have to copy a bunch of zips in the microsd and the recovery.img in the "zt-update" folder.
