About userinit.sh Script this is optional way to handle various system settings, to tweak performance, automate removal of un-needed .dex files etc.It really is in on experimental state with Eken and as I'n not a Linux scripting guru it will take time to develop it more, I'm planning to add support for the various hack and tweaks talked here, ie. change AndroidID, modify tx transmit settings etc.I have modified both config and main script to make it work with my ROM so I cannot say if it will work any other ROMTaskManagers <-> Android memory management.I'm sure that most of you have read about this already and I wont go to details, Anyhow I have chosen to go with Memory Management tweaks, so there is some initial settings in place by default, they are quite aggressive by the default but that's why I added MinFreeManager app to this build. use MinFreeManager to test settings and after you think tou found best option for you you can set those settings to be default values modding user.conf file.

Thanks for the ROM, I jacked my last install by rename /system/app APK files in order to removed unnecessary phone related ones. System would not boot anymore. I tested out using big swap file, 256mb and max swappiness and got really good results. My SD card reads around 20mb sec and 13mb for writing, so its close enough to the NAND speed. Recommend you set user.conf swap info to larger ram and max swappiness. Swap for regular desktop PC was bad, but great for Eken to SD swap, since most are about the same size and not a huge difference in speed like PC RAM to HDD. Keep the good stuff coming!

I'm running caffeine by a week now. Did some tweaks to improve performance like removing apks. I removed gtalk/phone apks Android now com.Android.gapps is crashing probably cuz I just erased them via adb. Im not an Android guru, got my m003 just a couple weeks ago, is there some way to safely remove those apps? Boot and performance were improved. The "hibernate" function didnt work neither the market (even changing the AndroidId)Why do you let that ethernet setting?PS really didn't like the new key layout. Please turn it to default again : -)Sent from my CaffeineROM M003 using Tapatalk
