This rom didn't work on mine, got an error and now it obviously doesn't boot.

Also tried various roms with RKAndroidDM but it just stays on "Updating System Information."

That gives me a bit of hope... but it's kinda weird that it will detect the device but it won't flash properly... I guess I can try two more cables that I have laying around.I have the new MD01-V6.0 version with the red led and 9V charger but I don't know if this 0802 firmware works with it. Ideally I'd like to flash it (or recover) with the factory 0729 firmware, but it's obviously not available yet.

Thanks[/QUOTE']It's pretty much the exact same rom you have now (same build date and everything).. but without the Chinese characters in a couple of apps.. everything else is the same. I would stick with the version you currently have since I'm noticing that'll it'll shut off by itself sometimes which didn't happen before.. I'm thinking this one needs a little tweaking (0802CN) and yours already has some from the factory.As for not bricking it, I tried 3-4 different cables, but the one that came with it worked the best. Always use a USB2.0 port that is directly connected to the motherboard, don't use front ports or hubs. Also use RKAndroidDM instead of RKAndroidTool to flash your device.

I have information Overload.... Most of the summary is the same as Mine but I have version 1.7.4 ( yuxing ). Build 1.3.2.eng.root.20100806.025602I have been told I have a version 3??? But after several failerd Flashes I have gotten most of the function back using the Apad_Irobot_Update_batch3_0806-en. zip located on the Hiapad.com web site. How can I be Sure exactly what I have? The version 3 Update procedure ( top USB Port ) and both buttons work to start the Update. Any Help ?

Yes, you have the "real" 3rd batch BLUE LED apad irobot made by Shenzhen Utopia (hiapad). Currently 0806 is the newest firmware available for it and you already have it installed. Do not try flashing 0802CN since your apad uses the 3.20 bootloader while mine uses version 3.27.. and obviously uses a different kernel too.
