i am in feiyu ( Happy Spring Festival" 0130 ) jellybean 4.1.2 now...can i upgrade direct from 4.1.2? or i hav to flash with stock first? btw it has 2gb partion ,,,any help plz?

Please, may I ask you a question?

In the step 7. you wrote "Still Power Off Flame, run XXXXXXXX". I'm confused because, previously, in the step 3. you turned-off the tablet and in the step 4. you turned-on again the tablet by pressing "VOL -" and "Power" simultaneously.
So te question is: When the tablet is powered-off? I'm confused

I flashed and followed @Frontier and Lokumrom steps ...

1. Download Ainol-E4-20130131-qimei-usbburning.zip dan USB-Burning-tool-v1.6.2.1228
2. Extract USB-Burning-tool-v1.6.2.1228 into your PC/NoteBook
3. Turn Power Off Flame and plug it into PC/Notebook using USB (better using USB 2.0 port)
4. Push Volume - and Power wait until Windows detect New Hardware
5. Then select the driver manualy and browse into folder USB-Burning-tool-v1.6.2.1228 and select folder AmlogicusbBurningdriver
6. When it's done.. by default your USB connection will be named "WorldCup Device"
7. Still Power Off Flame, run ImageBurnTool.exe
8. Flame will be detected in one of eight ports and the status is "Connect"
9. I was select Erase Nand and push Start button, offcourse all data in nand (internal storage) destroyed

.. wait until it's done (green blink)
10. After that... I selected menu File>Import Upgrade File and browse Ainol-E4-20130131-qimei-usbburning.zip. And I didn't select any button...
11. Push Start button...then blue color progress is running... wait until it's done 100% with green blink.
12. Unplug the Flame, and Turn Power ON... taste the Jelly Bean...

Can anyone tell me if netflix works properly? If it works can you paste me a logcat while it's loading a video please?

I just installed the TM version but screen brightness is very low.

Ok. The screen brightness is very low when it boots up. after u put in standby and then on again its brightness is proper. This happens on every boot.

Also many apps are listed as not compatible, cut the rope free, chrome, amazing alex free, etc.

Camera is not being seen as 5 mega pixels and brightness isn't working for it.

Can you give me it's Google Play link, because I can see many netflix apps (which one?).

No, battery meter is fine on my Fire (QM/Bosch).
I'm typing this with 10% power remaining.

Thx! I will try this firmware asap.
However, my Fire has screen problems (video posted here)
I will disassemble it soon to check the screen ribbon cable.

Be sure to be proprely grounded when you open it!

I opened mine a couple of times. Last time was to replug camera flex cable but after that my screen
became problematic. Screen will suddenly be filled with one color and crash the system after 15/20 minutes of use.
I propably fried a transitor or such in my last operation.

I'm sorry...

My mistake... in the step 7. The screen remain black (from step 3 until it reboot )... so I Wrote "Still Power Off Flame"... actually it's still ON and the Flame identified as "WorldCup Device" by Windows...

I don't know which one is correct since i can't try it (it's not working here in Italy)
Anyway according to amlogic it shouldn't work in this ainol release.

I'm interested in battery report too, if anyone was having fake battery charging while deep sleeping using one of my ROMs or latest feiyu and report that this one fixes it definitely i can make a comp zip based on this kernel, if it doesn't it's useless

How about FullHD video (1080p)? Is it smooth? Stock 4.0.4 played it fine with the player it had by default, but CT's CM10.1 is slow with MX Player even hardware accelerated. Ainol Fire with TM.

EDIT: Never mind, it plays smooth. Just slight lags when there's much movement in video.

To those who have installed the FW:
How about the graphics? Has it vsync enabled? Are there any lags? Is the performance better than in CM10.1?
This is the last thing that really bothers me so if it is fixed with this FW I would change to it. Thanks in advance
