I purchased an iPhone XR Nov 2020 from TW and have had it active with TW since then.
I ordered a new iPhone 11 from Total. Two days ago I took the sim out of my XR and put it into the new 11.
Everything is working great. Prepping the XR to resell I noticed it still said "Sim Locked".
(So much for auto unlock after 12 months of service.) So I go online and type in the serial number to unlock it and it fails.
I call the unlock dept 800 number and give them the IMEI and the guy says "device shows that it is new and has never been activated so I cannot unlock it." I was like dude this phone was on TW for over 2 years up until less than 24hrs ago! He says again, we have no record that the phone was ever on our system.
Once again it was for well over 2 years! I was not happy so I filed a report with the BBB and am currently waiting for a response from TW.
