After owning a tablet and having fallen in love with Android I was looking to get an Android phone (I find my Blackberry somewhat annoying to use). In true SlateDroid tradition I've been looking at some of the Chinese clones, trying to figure out whether it's worth getting one or not.I've also been looking on eBay for genuine devices and there are some nice ones for under ?200.Finally, I've got a job with Motorola currently and I'm wondering if I could get a discount if I should get the Droid or not?Any suggestions would be well received, thanks guys

If you are using cdma i would recommend the droid Eris. Some people find it underpowered but with the set cpu program it can be safely oc to 728 mhz. I really am enjoying mine! Im not familiar enough with the gsm droid to make a recommendation though. Happy hunting!

I've just read that you can clock the G1 at around 620MHz which seems quite decent (for my intentions). There's one going on eBay for about ?30 which I may purchase, broken glass though. ?20 for a new digitizer, doesn't seem too bad.
