I'm in the market for a new tablet (just managed to break the charging port and screen on my Ainol Hero 2!) and the Ramos i10 looks mighty tempting. But no reviews here?

The reason why I would prefer it over the i9 are the size (really prefer the rectangular shape) and the HDMI port. I quite regularly download video via my tablet and really like being able to then watch through the TV without having to transfer it to a storage device (or indeed even having to get up, I'm terribly lazy!). I also love the look of those front speakers.

But I'm a tad reluctant to buy a Chinese tablet that doesn't have any reliable reviews or support from the Slatedroid community.

Anyone?

Duh. Only just discovered it hasn't been released yet! 25 March is intended launch date. And price expected to be $433, which is over my budget...

ETA: This website (which will be officially launched tomorrow apparently) has prices. $399 for Note version, $299 for standard Android? Wait and see, I suppose.

Ok now I am writing this message with Ramos i10. This is imbressive device! Works very well and is fast. My old tablet was Acer Iconia B1... And this is something else... So to root this and to get google play store working is next to do.

I got mine last thursday. It is really great especially the screen. It was quite easy to root it (same as i9). It was quite harder to install gapps. I finally did it and I also install flash.

So far, I'm really happy with it.

Sorry for the slow reply. Easter holiday....

So far i10 has worked well and is wery fast. Display is amazing, sharp and looks wery good. Quality is wery imbressive, metal body with no sharp edges.

Netflix works wery well.

Google Play store doesen't work. I was able to install it from Aptoide. I tried two different version.

I try to root this during this week if I have time...

I finally got this tablet yesterday. I'm very happy with it so far! I bought it from Merimobiles and they must have done some work on it because I had immediate access to Playstore and was able to install all Chinese apps from the settings. Not sure if that means it's rooted and I haven't checked yet.

The sound on this tablet is amazing and this is the first tablet I've owned that has at least a somewhat useful camera too.

My only criticism so far is that the Wifi seems a bit weak. Might need to look into improving that.

If I continue to be impressed, I might be seriously tempted to buy the i10 pro later this year. My daughter wants a touch laptop, but that would be much better value for money.

I did find one issue. The HDMI didn't work properly when I tried last night. I got lots of snow and couldn't get it to play full screen? The latter could just be a setting I couldn't find... And I suppose the bad quality could be caused by me using an adaptor to connect a full size HDMI plug to the tablet. I've now ordered a micro HDMI cable.

Has anyone been able to get the HDMI connection to work properly?

I'm just updating for the record. HDMI works fine with the correct cable.

Which makes this tablet pretty much perfect. This is my 4th Chinese tablet and miles ahead of the others. It runs fine on official firmware too.

Battery life isn't as good as I'd hoped, but not worse than other tablets I've used.
