Last night i totally cracked out on id software games. I got Doom and Quake 2 to run on it too!Doom ran decently (~15 fps) and Quake 2 ran at about 1 - 2 fps. Both have random crashes, but do run.I haven't modded my M001 with a USB port so no keyboard, but I will edit the CDKey file and let you know.EDIT: Forgot to mention that sound works on both too. Quake 2 has a lot of chop and it cuts out sometimes though

Well, editing the CD Key file (qkey for this version) is a no go. ui_checkedcdkey 0mine has it and doesnt need cdkey to start singleplayer... try to place it on .cfg files there (q3config or autoexec). like u said, it's only possible if files are written in plain text (not that garbled stuff u found on qkey).
Ok, set the key seta ui_checkedcdkey "0"Still asks for cd key, but i just clicked accept with it blank and it went through! was it always like that!?Just got through the menus and almost started the first round and it crashed to home. going to try to run the "demo" next. I just moved so all my crap is in boxes, but when I find my vid cam I will get some youtubin' done.EDIT: Yeah, every time it goes to load the level (where it loads the characters and icons for ammo/weapons) it crashes to home.The initial menu is done in 3D right? I mean, where it says "QUAKE III" and it's got that fire effect going. Maybe i should look at the instructions again.
Ok, so I re-read the page I posted in the beginning and it says:Why can't I run demos from the Quake3 menu? For some reason this doesn't work and I'm not sure why. I remember seeing it in normal Quake3 / ioquake3 before as well. You can always run demos from the quake3 console e.g. 'demo four'. If you want to benchmark the game make sure to type 'timedemo 1' before starting the demo. The framerate will appear in the quake3 console once the demo finishes. So yeah, maybe i should just try loading real levels. I have to go run errands, but I'll update later.Anyone else out there trying this? Tons of fun.
QUAKE 2 RUNS COMPLETELY XDIt says it's running at 5FPS but it's only about 1, if that. Sound is extremely laggy too, but still not bad xD

I'm going to try disabling wifi and trying again.EDIT: Failed again. *shuffles feet* man!EDIT 2: On a side note, I wonder if the author named it Kwaak in reference to the benchmarking scandal associated with quake when someone renamed the executable quak3.exe and it gave different fps scores because nvidia/ati (can't remember which now) was cheating via their driver at the time.

I think it was nVidia cos mine after some Detonators were released, my benchmarks+fps went crazy. real fps boost in tradeoff image quality.Other note: I know you don't have keyboard however if you could pull console down, you'd have the error name (verbose message).
I think that it is impossible to go play Quake3. Would anybody have Doom2? (that one yes would be perfectly possible)
