As I posted before in a other thread, my Eken M003 has stopped working and I was getting the error:
Searched the forum about maybe know solution, I found that I could re-flash the device. I downloaded 2 different firmware from this forum: one the WMT SDK version 1.9 and the other the M003_ECOTOX_v1.3.1. Flashed to first with the M003_ECOTOX_v1.3.1 and wasn't able to get the WiFi to work. So I re-flashed with the 1.9 Firmware again and all was working fine at beginning. Finally I got the same error as before and were not able to restart the OS again: exact same error message. That error the first time was happens after deleting the chinese apps QQ. This time it were happens while calibrating the screen. I also deleted before that chinese apps again and no problem. Now I had done the "game" several times and found that I've to be carefully not to do to much task before restarting the device. Seems to be that there is a problem with memory management and the system permanently "hangs" if to much memory is used.Is there any solution about that? Thanks.

Downloaded and installed Zerorom. The upgrade was working just fine and now I using that firmware now.Seems to be that most of the things just working well. Except I got problem with my own WiFi! At the moment I "steal" the connection from someone else because I couldn't get access to my own AP! It's a bit strength because I use a powerfull Level One AP 108 MBps, secured. Don't know but maybe the M003 isn't able to connect because of my Subnet Mask? I use a 10.0.0.x IP with a Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 which is normal just 255.0.0.0 for that IP range 10.x.x.xAt time I try to connect, it shows full service available and at the same moment I click on connect it "looses" the connection and tell No Network available and for my AP Out of Range!Any idea? Thanks a lot for any info.

Zerodime;44185]you could try to change the IP.[I]No said:
You could try to change the encryption.Same as above in 1.I'm using WEP-PKZ (probably)
Thanks for the answer Zerodime. As I wrote above, both is impossible! But there must be a reason why the device didn't connect to my Network by WiFi?! I also run Smoothwall as Firewall and I wouldn't start to reconfigure that as well! To compromise my well running and secure Network is out of any question.Any other idea? Thanks.

Heheh a change of IP-Adress will never result in a security breach. But I understand where the problem is.Its hard to clarify what exactly is wrong from afar and without the possibility to chnage a few settings on your WLAN.Can't try it from home?Otherwise i don't know...it is likly that the EKEN drivers aren't up to date but it's not easy to change them (in terms of findign and installing new ones). If it is your company you could try to use an external USB-WLAN-Stick with a lesser security protocoll (at least for testing purposes)

Thanks for that. It's not the IP-address alone, I would have to change the whole settings and that's not a easy or small job! I running several in house Servers incl. 3 different Mail-Servers and and changes within the Network structure would also includes changes via DNS etc. etc. Running my Network as it is right now for several years without a single shut down because of security infection etc. means that my system is clean and I would like to leave it like that. Our WiFi is very secure, tested with kind of possible attacks and NOTHING was able to come in! Tested by an Hacker who is specialized of hacking WiFi system and he wasn't able to jailbreak the system too!It looks like that the Eken could handle and work with basic settings without problems. I've 3 different WiFi Network near my location and I get access via them while hacking the WPA-PSK key and the other two are just unsecure! All 3 using basic access settings, beside the WPA-PSK secured one in the IP range 192.168.x.x and 10.0.0.x, all with standard Subnet Mask. No problem to access the Internet via that three from within the M003!My own just differs with the Subnet Mask and I think that's where the problem lies. I don't have any knowledge about the command language of Linux systems and I don't know there is a way to change the settings manually. Tested with a real Apple iPad and everything just works fine, same as for all Laptop computers, desktops and Smartphones with WiFi. It's the first time I was getting problem with the connection.I haven't tested to connect via Bluetooth yet because I don't trust the Security of Bluetooth. But I plan to prepare a extra computer with it's own Internet connection and test the M003 with Bluetooth.Just as another info about the M003: I tested the use of 2, 4, 7 and 10 port USB Hubs with all ports in use and all just working fine. The next I'll check is a USB Ethernet connector and if that works well, I don't need to be worry about the WiFi anymore in my own company and office.just a personal question at end: where in NRW you from?Cheers.

Ah i'm sorry I can't be of further help then. But it'll be curious to see if your usb/ethernet adapter will work ;)I'm living in "Iserlohn" it's pretty central and slightly to the right of NRW
I'll be to day to Bangkok for to buy a "cheap chinese" product for to test. If they using "normal" drivers, or even just available Plug'n Play drivers, that could work without problems. Will report the outcome.Iserlohn is a nice city in the county Sauerland. I was there about 40 years ago and wouldn't able to remember anything if I would go there today, I believe. I'm German by the way but living 40 years in Asia now and 30 years from that in Thailand. Thanks for all your effort Zerodime.Cheers.
