PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT ALTHOUGH I DABBLE I AM NOT A DEVELOPERThat being said yes and no.You coudl CERTAINLY use one of the "LiveCD or x86" versions of Android. The issue is that I BELIEVE their latest version is 1.6as for something like FROYOwow, that would be awesome wouldnt it? But realize that when you get into specs like youre talking about (because believe me I STRINGLY considered it) you are really looking at a "netbook - keyboard"INcluding the WEIGHT.and the long boot time.I run puppy linux on my netbook, and it STILL takes longer than I want to load because its loading from a HD, now realize puppy is smaller than 100MB and will run on a 486.so could you, yes, would you want to?probably not for too terribly longhowever if you do buy one of those PLEASE post a good review. I still havent bought my 10" yetj

hi, i have this machine, and had it for a while, the battery life isnt that great (2 - 3hours) the original O/S on it is questionable - could never update o/s, but otherwise works well. I especially love the capactive touchscreen. It is an awkward shape, wider thanh it is long, but i like it for certain situations.Have tried the live cd and it works, but i really have no idea how to get the touch screen to work, sort of defeats the purpose for me if i have to lug around a keyboard/mouse witth it. The load up time with he existing os (win7 ultimate) is similar to netbook i also have. Am considering (if i get enough courage) to rip out the 320gb hd and put in a ssd just to give it a go. I only wish i had more computer/tech skills to play with it. Will work out weights etc when i can get near a set of scales and posy back

My biggest concern are the drivers,as some of them we can easily find and compile, other we can find generics that work and grow from there, but otherwise (like the screens), might be harder to get or never find it.only trying to know.btw, do they have a linux pad?--T

I am positive that we will get android on this tablet. There is a driver for the touch screen, I am waiting for the source code for it. As soon as we have that, we should be able to enable it and start working on the other stuff (wifi, sound and graphics optimization). I should receive a similar tablet shortly, this will speed up the dev work on it.Cheers,Stephane.

Well, we got the touchscreen to work on this unit (Thanks to Stephane Chatty's driver: ENAC Interactive Computing Laboratory - multitouch devices ). Still a lot of work to be done to have a fully working froyo on it but it's a start! The fact that I don't have a unit yet makes it harder to test and debug the build but a big thank you goes to mingnon for the help in testing my multiple builds!Cheers,Stephane.
