OK guys seems that the tablet does not charge when connected via USB.
However can it be charged if connected to a mobile USB battery charger?
Any help appreciated

I get the same with the M3 - however phone USB charging doesn't appear to work for me either.

I wonder if you could solder two wires into the USB port to feed it directly into the DC jack port.

I am using an iPad 1 AC charger - simply remove the Apple USB and plug in the PIPO USB cable. These chargers are cheap and you can get them on ###########.

just bought a pipo max m1 and it states in the manual that you cannot use the usb socket for charging
