well....my PDN finally died! I have had it for about two months now and went thru the normal growing pains and seemed to be working fine but yesterday it just gave up the ghost. Will not power on, will not charge, etc. .... back to BBB for another one I guess.

Have you taken the back off and disconnected and reconnected the battery. Mine "died" once but resetting the battery had her up and cooking again

Did you try unhooking and rehooking the battery? I've seen other threads with a "dead" PDN that was revived by that.

I took the cover off but didnt have the courage to actually take the battery loose....is it hard?

Yea the connection is in tight but I used a plastic pen top to gently pry it off one side at a time. Worked its way off OK. Give it a try. nothing to lose.

I hear that the newer PDNs will have a switch to disconnect & reconnect the battery when this happens. That is PD's "fix"!

I have literally had a PDN longer than any of you, and it hasn't been a problem for me. I can't get excited about the difficulty of unplugging a battery...

I should say, this is all intended in good fun. I think the best way is to use something flat and turn it to slowly wedge one side then the other, repeat, until it pops off. DO NOT, D O N O T grab the wires and pull. Bad.

I unplugged and removed the battery, then reversed the whole process and still no response. Stopped off at bbb yesterday and exchanged it for a new one. Problem solved.

You can exchanged a new one from BBB even after 2 months? Did you have the barcode cut from the box for rebate, or it doesn't matter?
