I still stand behind my initial impression of it. The specs are good enough to provide
a decent experience for the price. Note the "for the price statement." I never said it was going to replace your iPad or even an iPod Touch. It might not even be as functional (in its current state) as some of these other Chinese tablets. I liked it though, and found it a very servicable LCD ebook reader. I watched the videos by some of the other reviewers, and the video of the black version. It seems all these other reviewers are used to capacitive screens or at least very responsive resistive screens. I, on the other hand, am very used to devices like this, the A81 from WitsTech, and the SmartQ/V7. I have all of those and a 3G iPod Touch as well. None of them can compare to the quality and speed of my iPod Touch. The only thing is - my Touch is too small for me. This is why I reviewed a few Chinese tablets last year. I was lucky to get my Pandigital before Kohl's stopped selling them. It is miles above my SmartV7 in quality, and is a better reader as well (except when the SmartV7 is in Linux - which is the ONLY OS that thing supports that actually works decently). My experience so far has been the device suffers from bad software/firmware. I'll be watching this thead with an eager eye to see what Meth can do.
Nice work!
