Yes, you can edit any of system (deodexed) files like example about framework-res.

So, my question is is it enough only to drag res folder and resources.arsc because there's also AndroidManifest?

- you need to drag res folder and resources.arsc only!
Many thanks, Connor! I'd like to thank you for all your support this year with Vi40_DC.

I sent you a PM about the Bengali language on your ROMs. From Settings--->Language & input, it should show in Bengali alphabet whereas it shows now in English alphabet: Bengali (Bangladesh), Bengali (India). In my mobile phone it shows in Bengali alphabet. Could you please let me know how to correct it, which files needs to be changed?

Merry Christmas & happy new year!!!

Valkoz, I have tried your Onda Kitchen but signing zip disappears.
I have tried heap size 512 and 1024 but no difference.
I have english Win7 x64 and use Java x64 build 13 Tablet Onda V971T

Before zip disappears I see the file size is around 300mb

Problem solved, changed heap size to 2048 and I got my update.zip file

Yes, you're sure.

It depend on ROM volume (more or about 500 mb total will fail for any of heap sizes), this and any of another sign programs can't sign rom more than 500 mb.

In case you made rom more than 500mb, simply use two parts (for example update.zip+patch+patch1...)

Many of uploaded tools are out of date - there are new .exe, smali/backsmali, apktool, aapt ...

I try to upload new, but the connection is too slow

PS. in 971T chinese used very unusual method to flash apps to /data - from folder /media/...

Hi Valkoz
I have combined your custom rom with the original rom and used your kitchen to build 971t
If you make a custom rom for 971t I would like to try it.
I can not run some apps now, like Little Crane is not working

Thanks, Mike

Great job. Thanks!!! Is good to have and linux scripts. I will try to make some script for linux when i have some time. I will give you to put on your tool if u don't have time. For moment learning about modding rom on android.
I have one question: if i want to remove some app from original rom, simply need to delete apk's/odex files from usr direcory or need some aditional steps?

Thank you, vlad!

Users will be grateful for the Linux scripts.

Actually, I avoid to upload Linux tool because most of users use Windows.

To remove system apps just delete
- (app+odex) in the odexed rom
- app in the deodexed rom

(But there are some ROMs - rarely, which use script with links to system apps in the /system/ or boot.img. If you remove linked system apps, your rom can't to boot).

I'm just a beginner and try to modify boot.img of Onda V712. I'm using Onda A31 Kitchen, succeeded in modify boot.img but I'm hanging in the middle. Following information might save me but this link looks like dead, got server error. If any new or alternative link is available, please let me know it.

Looks like dead link or temporarily down. It was slightly outdated tutorial.
A31 kitchen works with Amlogic too (except ICS roms). Also there are brief pictured manuals in each folders.
What exactly hanging? In case your [unpacked/not changed/packed back] boot.img allows to boot tablet - all is OK, you can make next step - to change files in boot.img

PS. This is detailed manual/video for Linux - but that works in Cygwin too (except Linux permissions)

Yes, this link is dead

Just try Google https://www.google.com/search?q=Extracting%2C+Editing+and+Re-Packing+boot.img+in+Windows&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&lr=lang_en

or post your problem with boot.img

can U tell me why ?
In case same with post above..
1/
If you mean - to make update.zip with [[_Update-Zip-Packager :

I set the value HEAP SIZE = 2048 (mb) in the [[_Update-Zip-Packager. It's enough to make 600mb update.zip.

2/
But you wrote "it still does'nt disapear" - you mean, it disappears?
