Like a good know-nothing, I've heeded the warning and stayed out of the development thread. Because of that I have no idea how close things are to happening. I'm not going to go through 500+ messages, so can you give us some news?
2.1 is in an "alpha" state - still not ready for general use, with certain features (most notably video playback) still non-functional. Most other features work, although not yet optimized.
