Hi,1. I haven't tried it yet, but I know that there is an application called app2sd to do that. please share if you succeed.2. You could use rotateD application to rotate the screen. or the Rotating Screen application which comes with MNS custom firmware. they both do the same but the only difference is that rotateD puts 2 different icons, 1 for landscape mode and 1 for portrait where rotating screen only give you 1 icon which rotating the screen to landscape/portrait.3. I'm using Appmonster and Titanium backup. But I only tried to backup application and didnt had a chance to restore yet :)4. There is a program called GPS Test, you could get it from the firmware 809 thread in this forum.5. There are 2 good readers called Adliko and Laputa. Check them both and see what you prefer. I've also heard some good comments about ireader 1.0.9 but I havent been able to find an APK file of this version yet.Have fun with you new A81E, even though it has a lot of bugs which should be fixed it's really pretty good device

Hate to barge in like this. But since it's a thread for noob questions. Might as well ask.Is the flashing process for the WITS A81 the same as the ones on the other Android tablets? You know, off device, take off memory card, put scripts in the root folder of the memory card, place other files in the memory card, wait for device to boot and flash? Also, is the method/steps of flashing the ROM different for every firmware?I just wanna make sure so I don't end up bricking my device.

1. Apps2SD is supported in 2.2 but the way it was implemented the app itself must support it also. Go to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications and then tap on the program you want to move to the SD card. If move to sd is grayed out then you will not be able to move the program. If it is not grayed out then you can move that program.

you could use slideIT which I know for sure that it has Laputa installation. and you could also use google search engine to search for any APK file. APK files are the installation files of Android applications.

[quote name='Godsbrother;46251]yea just read that.... pretty complex. Can find find any definitive answer on wether or not you need to partition the sd card! Seems the built-in app2sd may not require an ext formated partition... comments anyone?[/QUOTE] The answer is NO. You don't need another partition. Isn't required for native MoveToSdCard of Android2.2. Tha API lev.8 [aka Android2.2] requires only a flag in the code of the program [clearly present in RockPlayer] to obtain the possibility to move the app to the SD card. Now it doesn't work' date=' seems for a bug in our fw. The new partition ext2 is needed if you want move, after rooting, ALL the apps to the card [AkA moving the entire app-folder to the card']. It was a trick born for previous version of Android, still useable, but is a bit risky for me.

I'm currently liking FBReaderJ 0.66 as my reader of choice... ePub, fb2, and oeb support ATM...also used iReader a bit for some plain old text files that I was reading...(I have all the others installed, but since I mostly use ePubs I'm happy with FBReadeJ.... aldiko, Laputa, Nook, Kindle, etc. Nook & Kindle want net access so I'll likely never use them on the GT and only briefly looked at aldiko & Laputa...)
