No Market Access

Hi all,

I received my Witstech A91 a few weeks ago and occasionally I can't access neither Android Market nor Androidpit.

WIFI is on (3-4 white bars on the WIFI indicator) and connection to the Internet works without problems, Google-account is set proper but in Android market it simply says "No connection: retry", with Androidpit it says "Error on connection with server: No peer certificate".
Anybody else experiencing something like this? Already tried rebooting and reconnecting to my router, no help

Zhis problem occurs only with this device, my other four Android devices never have this problem

BTW, FW is latest 826

It's not just you. I can't access it on my Wits A81-E or my Coby Kyros. Both of these needed hacks to access the market. They must have blocked us. Stupid, really, why wouldn't they want to sell apps to us?

Try the Amazon Market if you are in the US. It doesn't work in Canada. Getjar is giving away a selection of paid apps for free every week.
I am also lamenting and do not have full market access, since upgrading my Wits A81 from 2.1 to Froyo 2.2. If you get this error after searching market, "A server error has occurred. retry or cancel", this is what to do and it worked for me, but you need quick reflexes. You will only have a milli-second and just before this error box appears, quickly click the "install" button and it will start downloading, before the error box pops up and stops you.

Otherwise, my other choice that I regularly use, when you can't access the market, is a website that has only free android apps.

Solved it.

Apparently (according to Witstech.net) it's merely an issue of incorrect timeset or google login.
After step two (with time set manual because "auto" always started on 1st JAN 00:00) it now works

The Market now seems to be working again. Wonder for how long??!!??

What ROM are you using? How come Market doesn't work for me any more? How can I solve it?
Can't wait to get mine working as well. Not a huge downloader of apps, really only purchased for email and web browsing.
I've done the market fix that mp4nation had about 5 times with no luck....not sure what to do next, they directed me here. I even did it from the youtube video to make sure I wasn't missing anything
I solved it by manually editing the build.prop file, inside the /system directory of the device. You need to be root for that.
I changed the values of these lines as follows :
ro.product.model=Blade
ro.product.brand=zte
ro.product.name=blade
ro.product.device=blade
ro.product.board=blade
ro.product.manufacturer=ZTE

I have full access to the market.

I tried it and no chance!
But then i did the good old market trick ( clear cache , stop application etc. etc. ) and everything is ok now
Cheers
